Chapter Five: Her Sister

Bruce finished explaining what he did and the side effects, but didn't tell Becky what his powers can do. El sat in silence and looked at him as he thought of what he saw

"Becky, did you guys know the Achillies?"

She looked up and nodded "Yeah, they were gonna have a child around the same time as Terry but they disappeared before they were born."

Bruce looked down and thought again "Do you have anything that might lead me to another child from there. I saw a girl but I didn't know her"

Becky thought for a second before nodding "Yeah, follow me"

The three got up and went towards another room down the hall, once they were in Becky went to a file cabinet and started to look through before pulling out a folder and dropping it on the ground. Bruce picked it up and scanned through it but was handed another one

"Here, when Terry was looking for Jane she looked into other missing children cases like hers" 

Bruce went through the second folder and stopped at a case where a girl went missing in Londen with her picture on it, he pulled it out and nodded

"This is her"

He looked to El who was looking at the picture

"Do you think you can find her? Your mom seemed to linger on her"

El was silent for a bit but nodded. She seemed tired so Bruce had an idea

"Why don't we do this later? Maybe get you something to eat?"

She looked up and nodded which made Bruce smile as the three stood up and walked out with the picture.

Bruce and El were upstairs, in her room, laying on a bed as El held the picture and closed her eyes. A few seconds went by before her eyes shot open which surprised Bruce and made him jump

"I found her!"

She ran downstairs and Bruce was stunned but followed a bit behind, when he got down there he heard Becky on the phone talking to someone. The look on El told him everything he needed to know. She looked at him with what seemed to be a sad expression but she looked at Becky's purse and went into it while Bruce went into the kitchen and grabbed her bag and came back to see El with some money. The two ran outside and went into the woods, they found a bus stop and saw that it was leaving so they immediately got on and paid the fee before finding a seat in the middle. El sat on the inside while Bruce sat on the outside, after a few minutes El leaned onto Bruce and started to fall asleep as he put his arm around her.

After some time the bus slowed to a stop and woke both El and Bruce from their sleep, Bruce looked forward and saw people getting off and looked to El who was waking up

"Is this the place?"

She looked outside and nodded before the two got off. Once she was off El looked at the giant buildings and watched the people pass her, she was pulled out of her trance when she felt someone take her hand. She looked over and saw Bruce who let out a sigh

"let's see where she is, show me the way"

El nodded and started to pull him down the sidewalk past different types of people, after about twenty minutes of looking she found an ally and walked in. The people looked sketchy which made her feel uncomfortable, it surprised her when she felt Bruce's arm around her shoulders which helped her. They passed a bald man giving them crazy eyes

"They're all dead! They're dead! They're all dead!" The man kept laughing in his words

The two hurried and jogged away until they reached the exit of an underground passage to see a door that went inside of a large building. El looked at Bruce as he did the same before looking back at the door and walking towards it with Bruce behind her. Once inside the building, they heard people in the distance and walked towards them.
