Laughter

Your eyes crinkle in the corners, squint in delight.

mouth opened wide, teeth flashing bright.

Yet what comes next, I cannot compare,

a laugh I will always love to hear.

It stumbles into the air and changes the light;

its endearing yet bold, It's everything right.

I listen for it in all places I go,

It still echoes in my mind, I'll keep it as my own.

When the worlds all gone quiet and I'm sitting alone,

I'll remember you dear,

how could I ever forget your laugh?
