I sigh as I check the time on my cell, leaving my work station set up for my next client I head to Dani on the front desk

"Hey babe, my next client here yet?" I ask, although the waiting area is empty

"She just called, she can't make it so I've rescheduled her." Dani explains

"Oh well, guess I can go home early then." I shrug before walking through to the back room

"There's my girl, thought you had a late appointment?" My dad asks as he pulls me in for a hug

"Cancelled, looks like I can go home early." I reply as he squeezes my ribs within an inch of their life

"Well before everyone leaves I had a call from Needles Maddox, you know the artist from North Carolina, owns a shop and he's a member of the mother chapter of the Broken Demons motorcycle club." My dad says looking between me, Angie, Darius and Marco

"I remember him." Angie smirks, yeah we both remember drooling over the hottie while he worked at that convention last year

"Well his wife is pregnant and he needs some time off, he's asking around if anyone wants to take a guest spot in his studio for a few months, he's offering pretty good rates." My dad explains

"I can't go, my wife would kill me if I up and left her with the kids for months." Marco replies

"Well I don't need an answer right now, just think about it." My dad shrugs. It would be fun to work in a different part of the country for a while, but my family and my fiancé are here, I don't think I'll ever want to leave.

"I already know the answer but are you coming to the party tonight? It's Rudys birthday." My dad asks

"Thanks but Alexander is taking me to a fancy restaurant tonight." I shrug, but I don't miss the look on my dads face

"What was that look? You always said you wanted me to find a good guy out of this lifestyle." I raise my eyebrow as I cross my arms over my chest

"I know, but I don't want you to forget your family for a man, it's been months since you came to a party and half the club haven't even met Alexander." He says his name sarcastically because my fiancé hates being called Alex.

"You know Alexander isn't into parties and I like it. Instead of wasting my weekends sleeping off hangovers we go to the farmers market, brunch, do normal couple things." I explain

"But you aren't normal, you're special." My dad sighs

"Well the guy I dated before Alexander is currently serving five to ten, so I think I made the right choice. Wish Rudy a happy birthday for me, I'm going home to shave my legs before my fiancé takes me to a fancy restaurant." I huff as I grab my purse and storm out the door.
