Well this is awkward, but I guess I should be thankful for the distraction from my current situation. Tommy insisted I sit on his lap in the cabin, I'm pretty sure he's a few minutes away from peeing on me to Mark his territory in front of Ryder. Maybe I should've told Ryder about Tommy and I, but with all that's happened sending off a quick text telling my fuck buddy I've got an old man wasn't really high on my list of priorities.
Killer is explaining everything, Tommy's history, who he really is and all that's happened since Lipizi got out of jail, including what happened to me. I can feel Ryders eyes on me but I look at Killer, I can't deal with him right now.
"Fuck, Prez talks about you all the time man, the kid who took down the gangster, our biggest enemy." Brody says, I take Tommy's hand that rests on my lap, I know he won't be comfortable revealing his past to more people. I know he'll also be hating the part where I got hurt, but it's not his fault and I'm ok now, I just need my dad back.
"Lipizi is bringing Nix's dad here and he thinks only Nix is in on it and she's going to exchange Ace for her dad, but obviously that's not happening. We've got a sniper in a good vantage point, Doc here is our medic, I want Lipizi surrounded when he enters the property." Killer explains, once the plan is finalised everyone gets ready to head to their positions
"Nix, can we talk?" Ryder says as he approaches, Tommy still keeping hold of me, his possessiveness is hot, but pointless, I know who I belong to.
"Sure, I'll be right back." I say turning to look at Tommy. His hand comes up to wrap around my throat as he pulls me in for a kiss, marking his territory, but hot as hell.
"Hey I get it brother." Ryder says holding his hands up. Tommy finally lets go of me and I follow Ryder out onto the deck
"What the fuck Nix?" Ryder says as soon as I close the door
"I know, it's been crazy lately." I shrug
"I don't know what has me more pissed, that you never came to me for any of this shit or that you're fucking crazy." He shakes his head as he braces his hands on the rail
"I'm not crazy." I defend
"Really? You're fiancé cheated on you and you ran to the other side of the country to be free and you fall for the first guy you see who let you get beaten to hell? You're kidding me right now." He huffs if I wasn't angry as hell I'd make fun of how adorable his big brother act is
"Ok first of all what Lipizi did to me was not Aces fault in any way, it was Lipizi and him alone. I'm born and raised in the club, I'm an obvious target. Second of all I didn't just fall for the first guy I saw it's different, he's Tommy Porter, him and his brother were my best friends when I was a kid, we have a connection like I've never felt before. I'm in love with him Ryder and I'm his old lady." I clarify
"You sure this is what you want? You want to marry into the club? He isn't just a rebound?" He asks on a sigh
"Definitely." I answer without hesitation
"So you're staying here for good? You're not coming home?"
"I don't know, all I know is I want Ace beside me." I reply as I lean against the rail next to him
"He treats you good? Gives you what you need?" He smirks
"And then some." I smirk back
"Well I guess I'm happy for you." He shrugs "You know, I added to my belt collection while you've been gone, maybe I'll just keep it for a wedding present."
"Oh god." I chuckle as he pulls me in for a hug
"You know I'm still always here right? Anything happens I'm only a call away." He says as he lets me go
"I know." I smile up at him when I hear a throat clear behind me. I turn and see Tommy staring at Ryder and I shake my head as I go to him and wrap my arm around his waist, his arm around my neck pulling me against him
"He gets it Tommy, ease up huh?" I chuckle as I look up at him.
"Can't help it Fe, you're mine and I want to make sure everyone fucking knows it." He growls in my ear and damn it if it doesn't turn me on.
"We get it." Killer yells from inside making me laugh.
Everyone is in position, leaving me, Tommy, Killer and Knuckles in the cabin, the rest are scattered in the woods surrounding the property ready to help when things go south. Heavy metal blasts from the sound system in the living room, but I'm sitting on Tommy's bed staring at my cell in case Lipizi contacts me again.
"Fe." Tommy whispers as he kneels in front of me, I hadn't even heard him come in the room, so much for being on alert.
"Fuck I hate seeing you like this." He curses as he cups my cheek, stroking me with his thumb
"I hate being like this." I laugh humourlessly
"It won't always be like this, I promise." He sighs
"I know Tommy, I was born and raised in the club remember. The Las Vegas clubhouse has been like a second home to me, I've seen the up and downs of club life." I explain
"I just want to see you happy." He says softly as he leans in and kisses me. I wrap my arms around him and pull him close.
"Listen." Tommy says as he pulls back and looks into my eyes
"I know now really isn't the time, but I've been thinking about it, although I love my family here, if you want to go back to Vegas once your dad is safe, I'll come with you." He says, his thumb softly stroking my cheek back and forth
"Really? I didn't think you would ever go back." I ask
"I wasn't planning on it, but if that's where you are, then I'm there too." He nods
"I love you." I smile
"I love you Fe, always." He says before his lips find mine again. How did I get so lucky to have this man fall in love with me? I just need my dad home safe and then everything will be perfect.
Tommy wraps his hand around the back of my neck as he deepens the kiss and I moan softly against his lips, but then my cell rings
"It's him." I say looking down at my cell on the bed
"Answer it, you got this Fe, it's almost over." Tommy assures me as he squeezes my neck before letting go
"Hello?" I answer casually
"Little Phoenix, be a good girl and bring Porter out here will you?" Lipizi's voice makes me cringe, but I can do this
"You have my father?" I ask, trying to keep my composure
"Yes, daddy's here." He chuckles
"Ok." I reply before he ends the call.
"Come on Fe, it'll be ok, we'll get your dad back." Tommy says as he pulls me to my feet
"Please be careful, I can't lose you to save him." I plead as I look up at him, my hands on his chest
"He's surrounded and he doesn't know it, everything will be fine." Tommy replies confidently, I wish I had his confidence
"He's here." Killer says stepping in the room
"He just called." Tommy replies
"Addy says he's got a blacked out SUV so she can't tell who's inside, but Lipizi and two guys are stood in front of it." Killer explains
"You ready?" Tommy asks taking my hand in his
"Yes." My voice wavers, but I nod as I follow Tommy to the back door of his cabin, please let both men I love come out of this ok.
