Zayns Pov-
*flashback continued*
The first thing I did when I woke up was look for zen. I was on my way to her apartment when I got a phonecall from her mom.
"Hi Mrs.colemen", I said.
"Zayn, oh zayn thank god you picked up", she was sobbing.
"Is something wrong Mrs.colemen", I switched my phone to my other ear, a habit I had when I was nervous.
"It's about Zendaya", she wailed.
I quickly pulled my car to the side of the road, ignoring all the honks and shouts I got from pissed off drivers.
"What about zendaya", I said.
There was a long pause before she broke down crying again.
"Sh-shes in the hopspital zayn", she cried.
I felt numb.
"Zayn", she said nervously.
"Zayn honey are you there?", she again.
"Where", I managed to croak out.

I could see it in his eyes. The cops didn't notice it, the nurses, doctors and everyone else only saw mathew, the heart broken boyfreind who found his girfreind in an alleyway beaten into a coma.
Such a good actor.
When we were freinds it would always be him that kept us out of jail.
But everybody on the streets knew his anger issuses were way worse than mine.
I knew about his past relationships, so when zen told me about the love of her life, I tried to talk her out of it.
But did she listen.
No.
Now here she is in a hospital bed half dead.
It's time for me too take matters into my own hands.
So I quickly walked back to my car to retrive it, I followed him into an alleyway where he was talking too some guy.
"Your late", the guy said.
He smirked
"Yeah well I had some buiseness to take care of", he said nonchalantly.
The guy chuckled
"Another one matt, what did she do this time", the guy said.
"Nothing importat, lets get this over with", he mumbled.
They exchanged the drugs and the guy took off.
When the guy was out of my sight I screamed
"Hey matt".
He turned around, his eyes widened at the pistol in my hand but it was to late, his body shook as he fell to the ground and I took off running.
But then I blacked out.
