(ARC1) Part 9: Setting up for the Finale

Natsu and Naruko stood side by side as they watched with Esdeath and most of their guild mates as the fight between their master and markarov was coming to a close thanks to some help.

"I did not think the other guilds would join them" Kurama growled.

"Neither did I" Natsu said.

"What do we do now?" Fred asked.

Natsu swiped the screen as the video feed disappeared before Natsu pressed a button showing an map of the city.

"We are now facing a multitude of guilds, Kaneki is recovering so the plan will be left in our hands" Naruko explained.

"Sorry we're late!!" A loud voice said as it entered the building.

Everyone looked to see Seryu and Wendy walk into the guild with small smiles on their faces.

"And boy do I have a surprise" Seryu giggled.

"I already known about Romeo" Natsu said smirking.

"Huh?!" Seryu looked at him in shock.

"I'm guessing Mother told you" Wendy asked.

"Indeed" Esdeath smirked.

"She told me everything" Natsu said.

Wendy looked at him and seeing a teasing smirk that promised torture on the subject. Wendy going back to her old ways looked down as her face steamed.

"Romeo!" Natsu called as everyone in the guild went silent.

Romeo walked out from behind Seryu as he looked upon the guild in shock. Everyone's eyes were on him as he looked down seeing a path leading straight down to Natsu, Kurama, Esdeath and Keflavik.

Romeo swallowing a glob of spit in fear walked down the isle towards them trying his best to ignore the looks he was getting.

"So this is Romeo huh?" Kelfla asked not looking impressed in the slightest.

"Yes sir" Romeo said politely.

Natsu started to chuckle "He does kinda remind you of Tatsumi huh?" Natsu asked looking at Esdeath.

"He does" Naruko chuckles with Esdeath smiling.

"Be that as it may, why have you come here?" Kurama asked.

Romeo looked down before looking back up straight at Natsu's hardened look.

"I've made mistakes before, but my biggest mistake will always be not going with the girl I love when she needed me most. When my Idol needed me most, that will always and continue to be my biggest regret of my life" Romeo said not breaking I contact with Natsu as the Hellsgate Pillars looked at the young mage.

"This kid has quite the pair of eyes" Kefla chuckled.

"Their so focused, and determined" Fred said looking at him.

"Why should we let you join the guild?" Natsu asked.

"I have been searching for somewhere I belong, I didn't belong at fairy tail, I belonged next to Wendy. I need to join this guild, so I won't make that mistake ever again" Romeo said.

Everything went silent, before they all heard a sighs and groan.

"Can we stop with all theatrics, of course we're gonna let the kid in" Dante said as he leaned against the railing just above them.

Everyone in the guild chuckled at the impatience of the Devil Slayer.

"Right I say we put this to a vote" Kefla said.
