"Since when did our agency cater to K-Pop groups?"
"Never, Ji Hyun. This mission that I am handing to you will be the first the company is accepting." The founder and CEO of the Korean Secret Intelligence Agency replied to the confused girl.
He fixes the collars of his wrists, adjusting his tie before approaching his daughter.
"Let's just say... I owe Lee Soo Man a lot for something he did for me back before I opened this agency. And today is the day that I return that favor. They could just hire more security guards, but this case involves targeted and intentional harm towards the artists. I believe two members were ambushed today, hence the emergency call from my good friend." Ji Hyun notices her father's failed attempts with his crooked tie, meeting him halfway and adjusting it into the right place as she always had.
"I understand Dad. I trained under his company before you called me out remember? I was only there for two years." Ji Hyun reminisces her trainee days, up until she was forced to leave to help her family's business.
Lee Soo Man knew of the girl but with a different name under his company, so she wasn't sure if he remembers how she looked.
"Why was I called here? I don't think I'm needed for something like this. Why not make Joo Hyuk Oppa do it?" Ji Hyun mentions her older brother as she sits back down on the large leather chair of her father's office, crossing her arms once the tie was neat and tidy. Her father mutters a 'thanks' before sitting opposite of her.
Son Ji Hyun did not understand why she was called upon for a mission that she was foreign to by her father, who owned the Secret Agency she is currently working for.
Their Secret Protective Services usually only catered to people within the government, such as protecting the President of Korea.
They were highly recognized by important people in their country, so accepting a request from a Kpop group from a well known agency gave her quite the shock.
Ji Hyun was too busy in her line of work to keep up with today's trending artists. After being forced to quit the life of a trainee to follow her father's footsteps, she had no idea who the latest idols were.
Ji Hyun grew up knowing what her family's business was; protecting very important people, catching highly renowned criminals and drug lords, and most recently- discovering child trafficking services within the country.
Her entire family was in the business, but she is known to be the most skilled agent of the company. She was like a gem that could not be replaced.
Her skills, intellect, and quick reflexes were so unbelievable, that she could pass off as an assassin. Everybody, including her family, called her Athena. Just like the goddess of wisdom, courage, strength, and strategy.
The Korean Secret Intelligence Agency (KSIA) is highly known to be the best Korea has, and only very important missions are accepted on throughout by the government or private matters.
In this case, it was a private request by a good friend of her father's, Lee Soo Man himself.
"He's on a month long stealth mission for the President, Ji Hyun. He has too much on his hands right as of this moment. You, on the other hand just finished your mission in Gwangu. Once he's finished he'll come right by your side if needed. The company along with us will decide on what our plan will be. It'll be faster and safer to proceed with the mission on finding the alleged group of people who want to do whatever they plan to do to the boys and stop that before someone gets hurt, or worst- killed."
Ji Hyun deeply sighs before slowly nodding.
"I guess I have no choice but to take it then. It probably won't be so bad, might even be easier. Who is the group that they're targeting?" She's gone through so many life threatening situations.
Like that one time she had to parkour off a seventeen story building to catch a two year runaway druggie.
Protecting a group of boys shouldn't be so hard... right?
Ji Hyun's dad lets out a nervous laugh, avoiding his daughter's stare. Ji Hyun narrows her eyes at his father, curious at his sudden actions. He begins to rub his hands together, before clasping them together once more.
"There's another reason why I decided to choose you for this mission. You'll be protecting twenty one boys. And Lee Soo Man-sshi gave me a warning that these boys could end up being a handful." Ji Hyun stands up in shock, a reaction her father expected.
"Wait. Did you just say Twenty One? Not ten, not five or seven or even thirteen! TWENTY ONE?! Is that possible?!"
Twenty one? They can go up to twenty one boys in a group now?! Is that legal??
"They're a group that won't stop growing either according to Soo Man. They might include more members soon. I'll let you sink in that information for a little bit. For now, be ready to enter the SM Building for a big meeting in twenty. The staffs, managers, Lee Soo Man, and the boys themselves will be there. They want to show some evidence to us that could possibly help with your case. It seems more complicated than we think. But you are the golden ace of our company, Athena. I know you can do it."
Jung Hwa approaches his daughter, ruffling her hair as she tries to swat his hands away before fixing her now disheveled bangs.
He laughs at his daughter's usual reaction, knowing how much she disliked getting her bangs messy. He places a small peck on her forehead before walking towards the double doors of his large office.
"How much time am I given? And what's the name of their group?" Ji Hyun's father pauses for a brief moment before turning to his beloved daughter. Ji Hyun gathers her belongings, heading to where her father was.
"That depends on how fast you find the culprits, Athena. The faster you finish the mission, the better.
And their names? They are NCT."
