When I woke up this morning, I had a feeling.
A feeling that today something was going to happen...
Something bad. Something humiliating.
I thought of various possibilities.
One, being late to class. Two, forgetting my lunch. Three, calling a teacher mum or dad. And perhaps even four, getting a test on the first day and failing... epically.
But no.
I wasn't prepared for this.
I didn't, not even once, consider getting smacked in the face by a door.
"BAM!"
"agghk!"
The last thing I could register is a distant warning 'watch out.' And then a face full of ouch.
Then black.
YET AGAIN! The universe has surprised me in the wondrous ways it likes to torture and inflicts pain on me.
THANK YOU!

No amount of aspirin could possibly tame the whopper of a headache I have right now.
I hear throbbing in my ears and have sharp spiked pains in my temples. I feel like I've been hit by a truck, and then he came back to finish the job. I rub the sides of my head as I gently sit up. Only now realising I'm sitting on something soft.
Where am I? What happened?
I take in my surroundings. cringing from the blindingly white walls and furniture. It looks very clinical. Am I in a hospital? An insane asylum?! Have I been abducted?...
What even happened? What's the last thing I remember?
School.
I was going to class at my new school... so why am I here?
I look around the room as if trying to find answers. And there. I look in the corner. My tall wood panel demise. "You." I let out a grumble as I send the door a glare.
I remember someone yelling to 'watch out'. Little did I know that someone was me...
Seriously? A door? A bloody inanimate object floored me on my first day of school...? At least I didn't flash the Principle as my brother wished. I hope he doesn't find out about this, I'll never live it down.
At least I now know why I'm here. I guess I'm at the nurse's office or something? Meaning someone brought me here. I wonder who? I'll have to thank them.
I was broken out of my thoughts as an aged woman comes through the now opened door.
She has pale skin and deep brown eyes, so dark they almost looked black. Her wispy hair, thinned from age, was tied up in a small top bun, which showed off her salt and pepper locks. She was small and looked very fragile, but her smile was warm and genuine, the kind of smile that gives warmth to your heart and comforts your soul.
"Hello. You're new to Karasuno High aren't you?" Her voice was as light as her smile. Which gave me the confidence to speak.
I cleared my throat before speaking. Not wanting to sound like a raspy old horse. "umm, yeah, I'm new here. I just started today." She let out a breathy laugh as she took a seat in the vinyl upholstered armchair beside the small bed.
"Well then. It must be very unfortunate for you to be here, being your first day." She continued to laugh at my situation. What she said is true, this was not the best outcome by far... then she continued. "But I'd say it's also quite fortunate since I was given the opportunity to meet you. So, I'm grateful for this encounter."
