Madara refused to put Kala down until he put her on a bed in a room of her own. To say it was luxurious would be an understatement. A vanity, multiple dressers, a desk, a table with multiple chairs, a walk in closet that she could never fill in a lifetime. A beautifully carved chest at the end of her bed. The bathroom with a garden tub, a double sink. It was like an apt all its own. It was way too much. She missed her apt already. Madara supervised as the servants put away her belongings. He ordered someone to bring her a cup of tea. "Madara, I'm fine." She tells him. "My room is right next door." He tells her, pointing to the bathroom. An adjoining bathroom. That's torture in itself. "If you need anything, the servants will attend to you." With that Madara left. Kala sat there mouth agape. "Wow." More than a bit irritated. No welcome home dear, hope you feel better. Sheesh. A young woman brought her a cup of tea, bowed and left. Kala shook her head and sighed again. After everyone had left, she decided to try something. "Echo." She grimaced as her voice echoed through the room. Yeah, way too big. There was a knock at the door. "Come in." Kala orders. The door opened a crack and Izuna stuck his head in and couldn't help but laugh. The room swallowed her. "What's so funny?" She asked him with a pout. He sat down in a chair next to her bed. "You're not used to this are you?" Kala rolled her eyes. "It echoes, that's never good." Izuna chuckled. "Its not so bad." Kala looked at him. "You were raised here." He nodded. "When do I get to take a tour?" Kala asked him. "Probably tomorrow morning. Madara gave orders that you were to rest today." Kala didn't feel tired, but the bed was much more comfortable than the hospital bed. She began to drink the tea, Lemon tea, how did he know? She thought. After a few minutes, Kala started to get tired. "I better let you get some rest." Kala looked at him. Confused at first. He nodded at her unspoken question. "Yes, he put herbs in your tea so that you would sleep." He took Kala's cup as she nodded off. He ordered a servant to redress her in a gown so that she was more comfortable. Madara was is his office going over paperwork. "Is she resting?" He asked. Izuna sat down shaking his head. "Brother, she won't be happy when she wakes up." Madara nodded. "She needed rest." He stated simply. "I'm sure she did, but she's been in bed for months already. She's certainly not the complacent type." Madara didn't acknowledge him. Izuna sighed. "She will do as she's told." Madara replied. Izuna nodded his head. "I fear, Brother, that it will not be as easy as you think. She's not used to this lifestyle."  Izuna stood up and started to leave. "Brother, if I were you, I would spend some time with her. Resting or not." Madara looked at him finally. His eyes softened ever so slightly, but then he just waved a hand to dismiss him.

When Madara decided to check on Kala some time later, he found her sleeping comfortably cuddling one of the many pillows on her bed. He sighed before settling in next to her. His body responded quickly being so close to her. He groaned not meaning to do it out loud. Kala smiled but remained asleep. He lay there for a while and watched her. But decided to return to his office and finish some more of his work. His dispatch of Kala's attackers was frowned upon by the elders, but they understood and accepted his decision. Dealing with a dissenting faction so expeditiously was beneficial to the clan as a whole. The loss was not taken lightly.

Kala awoke the next morning and almost immediately heard a knock of the door. "Maam, may I come in?" "Yes," Kala answered. A young woman came in. "Ive been ordered to help you dress and make your bed." Kala took a breath. The servant retrieved a set of clothes for her and started to remove the covers. Kala stopped her. "Please, don't." Kala says quietly, blushing. "I'm fully capable of dressing myself." The servant nodded and stepped back to wait. Kala raised a brow at her. Taking the hint, she bowed and left the room. Kala groaned as she got out of bed and dressed herself. She heard a knock again. "Maam, may I attend to my duties, please." Kala sighed. The servant proceeded to change the sheets and remake the bed with fresh linen and a another blanket. Kala began to brush her hair, when the servant looked at her with pleading eyes. Kala sighed and handed the brush over. She sat still while her hair was brushed and put up out of her way. "The master is waiting for you in the dining hall, maam." Master? Good grief. She thanked the servant before getting up and following her out of the room. Kala shook her head as another servant took a stance at her side. By the time they got to the dining hall, Kala had had enough. Izuna pulled a chair out for her. As she sat down, she was Madara at the end of the table looking over a report. "Good morning." Kala announces. Madara grunted. Kala sighed again. "What is it, woman." Kala just looked at him. Izuna chuckled. "Brother, I think she's overwhelmed by her personal entourage. "You'll get used to it." Madara says without at looking at her. A plate of food was put in front of her as well as a cup of coffee. A servant began to put sugar and creamer in her coffee. Kala looked at her. She stopped, put down the spoon and stepped back. Izuna had to stifle his laughter. Madara looked up from his report again and glared at his brother. "Sorry, brother." Izuna apologized and went silent. Kala fixed herself a cup of coffee and drank it slowly. She pushed her plate away. The servant began to take it away. "Madara held up a hand. "You need to eat." He ordered still not looking at her. "I will, when Im hungry." Madara looked at her this time and put down what he was reading. "You will eat now, or not at all." "Brother." Izuna said trying to intervene. Kala stood up then, drank her cup of coffee down in one last gulp and proceeded to leave. Madara stood up then, "You will sit down until you are excused." He growled. Kala's eyes lit up, she turned around and started to walk away, "Kiss, my ass." You could hear a collective gasp. Izuna jumped up from his seat and got between his brother and Kala. "Brother, please. I'll talk with her. Don't do or say anything you'll regret." Madara glared at Kala's retreating back. "You deal with her then. She needs to learn her place here." Izuna nodded and bowed. Taking a deep breath as he turned around.
