When Kala woke again, she found herself in the hospital. Kakashi was holding her hand and was laying on her asleep. Kala touched him lightly. Not really wanting to wake him. Her heart swelled. "What did I miss?" Before Kakashi could answer, four Anbu appeared. Kakashi stood up, "Stand down, Kakashi Hatake." Kala turned and saw Danzo. She looked at Kakashi. She touched his arm and nodded. He relaxed. "I just got you back." He whispered. Kala smiled. When she stood up, the Anbu bound her and she followed Danzo out the door. Kala knew damn well what had occured. Lady Tsunade was indisposed, so of course Danzo was making his move now. He didn't have much time. Kala knew that in a matter of weeks, Sasuke would cure the world of Danzo. She smiled then. Danzo turned to her with his own fake smile. He motioned her inside a room. "We won't waste time with pleasentries, my dear." He stated. Inside was nothing more than a seal marked in the middle of the floor. Along with about six Anbu. She was forced to her knees. Danzo smiled as he shut the door. "We have much to talk about." Kala sighed. If the two Anbu left on guard outside heard the screams comimg from the room. They made no move to acknowledge it.

Kala felt as though she were on fire. Danzo had tried everything at his disposal to remove the seal. "That damn, Jariaya." He growled. He struck Kala with his walking stick. The guards made sure she remained upright. "We may have to resort to more outdated methods." Kala was only dressed in the gown she had been provided by the hospital. Danzo motioned to the guards. They strung Kala up using chakra proof rope. She was at least two feet off the floor. She heard the whip before she felt it. "Your chakra is quite formidable too." Danzo told her. "Every normal method we would use on someone has proved useless on you." Danzo grabbed her chin. "But don't worry, you'll break before too long." Kala smiled at him. Danzo eyes turned to slits. When he struck her, she felt it echo through her entire body. "I have a meeting to attend." He told the guards. "Continue your work here and keep me updated." A guard nodded in acknowledgement.

When Kala woke, she thought she heard water dripping. After the fog lifted some, she realized it was blood. Then the pain as the a cold draft hit her back. Her guards were gone. When she tried to sigh, her breath caught in her throat. She heard the door open, and was shocked to see Pakkun. She felt someone cut the ropes and felt herself falling. When she woke again, she saw Shizune tending to her wounds. "Kakashi," She whispered. Shizune smiled. "He left for the front lines." Shizune answered. Kala's eyes closed. "How is she?" Lady Tsunade asked. "Danzo did a number on her." Shizune answered. "Kala, did you...?" "Lady Tsunade, the seal is intact." Shinzune informed her.

Kala woke feeling more like herself, but heard shouts of surprise. She recognized White Zetsu, along with the realization. "Madara," She breathed. White Zetsu almost smiled in acknowledgement. "Madara will be most pleased to hear your still alive." Kala saw Sakura cut him down then. "Are you alright, Kala Sensai?" Kala nodded, "Thank you, Sakura." Kala got up. "Kala Sensai, you're in no condition-" Kala glared at her. "Where is Kakashi?" Before she could hope to get an answer, she felt a familiar burning sensation. Sakura saw it at the same time she did. "Kala Sensai?" "Nevermind." Kala responded grabbing her clothes. Sakura called after her as she ran. She had no idea where she was going, but she had no doubt at some point Madara would bring her to him before too long. She knew she had reached her destination when she saw Obito and Madara atop the Gedo Statue. The battle was already raging, and yet she knew she would not be touched. If Madara had plans for her, then she was going to wrest the control of those plans from him. His clone found her first. "Kala Matai, I intend to deal with you in person." She found herself on her knees in front of Madara then. Obito watched in shock. "Madara, we don't have time for this." "I'm making the time." He grabbed Kala by the throat, and sniffed her, like a dog. "I can smell him on you." "Kakashi Hatake!" He bellowed. The battles seemed to cease then as all eyes turned to Madara. Kakashi looked to where his name had been called from. He saw Madara holding someone by the neck and dangling them from the top of the statue. "Did you enjoy bedding my woman?" At those words, he realized it was Kala. Madara looked at Kala then. "I'm a man of my word." With that, he ran his sword across her throat. She could hear Kakashi scream. And then felt warmth flood over her. Then she was falling. She felt the tears get whipped away by the wind. Someone caught her then. "It is finished." She heard his voice say.  Kala's heart caught. "I don't want to say goodbye." She thought to herself. She heard the Sage of the Six Paths chuckle again. "Foolish child. They are waiting for you. And even I know your too stubborn to truly say goodbye. I told you the lesson to be taken from this. You have a world of your own. Live in it and be a part of it. You wouldn't need ours so desperately then."

Kala woke, her pillow wet with tears. "Mom," She heard her eldest son call. "Did you want to go Dunkin Donuts, this morning?" Kala sat up. And smiled as he smacked the back of his younger brother's head. "Out of the way." "Get dressed, i'm starving." Kala got dressed. When she looked at herself in the mirror, for a moment she saw the Sage of the Six Paths again. "Live in it and be a part of your own world." Kala didn't argue. She got dressed and hurried outside. Her boys, well young adults eager to get the day started. As the Sage had promised, Kala never forgot. For a time she felt love from two of the unlikeliest of men. Felt it deeply. And despite the Sage's assurances, the world was so unfair. In her heart she knew that men like that could only be created in the mind of someone great. Men of that caliber didn't exist in the real world. When they got to Dunkin Donuts, her eldest opened the car door for her. She was busy watching her phone then and nearly ran into someone. When looked up she froze. Standing there was a man with black hair and onyx eyes. He held the door open for her. "Maam," He says simply. Kala blushed. And then walked on in. Her boys were waiting for her.
