Chapter 3

     Melanie sat across from Dave scared. She agreed to link with Dave since she found interest in him. She didn't know why since they barely had a conversation but this could at least give them a chance to talk. One thing she did know was that she was drawn to him. He was so attractive and calm and now they were sitting in Kamryn's mom's living room.

"Hey me and Tonio going upstairs you gone be okay?" Kamryn asked.

Melanie's eyes bucked. "I-

"She good go do y'all," Dave spoke up.

Tonio smirked at his cousin.

 "Oh okay well scream if you need me," Kamryn said playfully as she kissed her bestie's cheek and quickly got up following her boyfriend all giddy-like.

He smacked his lips.

"She jerk man," he said laughing.

Melanie sat back against the couch looking at him laughing a little.

"Why you want to sit so far away, damn you think I got cooties?" He asked her.

"You didn't invite me over," she said laughing at him.

"C'mere," he told her.

She got up going over to sit by him on the love seat.

"Hey," she said sweetly smiling.

"Hey," he said purposely mimicking her in his best female impression. "Voice sweet as hell," he joked with her.

"Boy shut up," she said to him.

"How you go from not talking to being mean?"

She simply shrugged her shoulders as they began a conversation.

"So where yo little boyfriend?" he asked her bluntly.

"I don't have one."

"How come?" 

"I don't know I'm not really into the boys at my school," she replied.

He touched her hair playing with it. "Datstuff" he looked up at her as she looked at him. "You cute," he told her smiling.

She tried not to blush. 

"Thank you," she said smiling at him. She was so happy he thought she was cute because she definitely felt the same way towards him. 

"So is Dave your real name?" She asked him.

"Yeah, it sounds fake or something Melanie?" he questioned her. 

"No, but something tells me it's David," she implied.

"It is," he said simply.

"Umm, how old are you?" She asked him.

"23" he replied. Feeling on his beared licking his lips.

She cursed in her head wishing he was younger.

"Jesus, why so old?" She complained.

"Man shut up I'm young," he said nudging her a little as they laugh.

They learned they enjoyed the same rapper and shows.

"Who's your favorite character?" She asked him.

"Hilary," he stated.

Melanie smacked her lips.

"She's dumb."

"But she fine as heeeeell," he stated.

"Anywho I like Will," she told him.

"Lemme guess he cute?" He asked.

She smiled big. 

"But he's soooo funny too like naturally funny," she stated laughing.

"I could watch any Will Smith movie any time of day," she added.

Dave smiled at her she seemed naturally happy. He liked that she had a calming aura with a bubbly personality. 

After a while, it started getting late.

 "You need a ride home?" He asked her noticing she was placing on her coat.

"No that's okay I drove myself," she told him as she sat back down.

"Hurd you," he said.

"Hurd," she said smiling at him.

He shook his head laughing.

"That is not how dat work shorty,"he said smiling.

"My bad" she replied staring at him.

He was so fine the tattoos on the face were different but he was still fine to her.

"You like staring and shit," Dave said to her catching her off guard.

"Sorry," she said embarrassed face-palming herself.

"I think I'm going to leave now it's pretty late," she said quickly getting up and he did too. 

She furrowed her brows and looked at him.

"I didn't mean to say it in a bad way it's just something you do often I don't want no static with ya, just tell me what you thinking," he simply told her.

Her bottom lip was in her mouth as she thought.

"I think you're very cute David," she said to him.

"Shit you too Melanie," he replied cheesing.

"Thank you," she said to him smiling sweetly walking to the door.

"Let me walk you out," he said.

She smiled as they walked to her car.

"Alright kiddo be safe no texting and driving" she smiled and rolled her eyes.

"AS IF" she exclaimed.

"Aight be safe" he said.

"Alright you too" she said as she drove off.

She smiled he's a cool person she thought. Full package!

Hiii sorry for the long hiatus but I'm trying hope you guys liiiike😘 ima try to spice it up the next chapter I'm trying to allow everything to grow and just not rush into it🙃❤️
