a poem to my non-existent love

I loved you
But you'll never know
Because I was too afraid
to let my feelings show
Now you're gone
And you've found somebody new
You'll never find out
The thing I had for you

And when I lie in bed
I constantly curse myself inside my head,
Because even if true love stares at me square in the face
I always force myself into a dead end

Did you ever love me?
Tell me there was nothing between us two
Because no matter how hard I try to fight it,
I can't ever stop loving you.
