Chapter 11

Ground assault

Six T-90M in wedge formation appears on the horizon travesing the road filled with destroyed vehicles and some places tall grass covers the road. One of the doll crew member opens the hatch and a Doll picks up her binoculars and observe the area. Behind them are three 6x6 Kamaz Typhoon carrying the three echelons that will assault the city itself, she wonders if this is a good idea. Urban combat is not her taste and she did not want in those situations since she is on a tank which is more vulnerable on these type of combat

"Damm i wish we were using a G&K tank instead of this ancient one" Ilyna the gunner complain as she tries to sit comfortably"

"Don't complain Ilyna this is what we got from that mothballed storage years ago and the Hammer unit is using western equipment so they were more lucky than us but don't worry they will have a hard time carrying the shells manually while we will be assigned on something better like the Armata so we will just endure this one more time, also i heard KCCO armor is way more advanced and comfortable so i bet they are having a good time" Sasha continues to drive while Ilyna peeks through the scope

"Hey you too don't talk when using the radio if doghouse hears us we will use this for a month" Ria complains as Ilyna pauses and she visualize herself sitting on the same spot making her regreting thinking so

"Pixie 2-1, i have visual on the objective do you copy over"

"Copy that Pixie 2-2, all Pixie station halt and form a line" Ria orders on the comms

"Solid copy, Sasha slow down a bit" Ria order her as they begin to slow down and stopped

"Ria do you think we will encounter those Nemeum?"

"I don't know but were prepared for that, this is what they thought us"

"Don't worry those old men back in our factory taught us the basics and they installed us tank combat doctrine so we will be alright" Ria slowly closes the hatch and locked it

"The old men of New Soviet tank forces...guess we owe them a lot and this is the only thing we can repay to them since they save us during the exodus" After finishing her word a particle round exploded as it landed 20 feet in front of their position

"All Pixies stations we have contact 3500 meters, north from our position, umm we have spotted eight manticore and several prowler moving east. This why we are here, all stations advance and engage the enemy"

"Copy engaging" She nods peek through the scope and aims as the tanks move forward then the enemies began to show up the screen as they fire at them

"Fire!" Ria yells as Sasha fires the 2A46M 125mm smoothbore tank gun and hitting the front armor of the manticore piercing it but not destroying it the autoloader loads a new round on the breech while several tanks fire at the manticore some where hit others missed.

"All Pixie stations maintain advance, aim and identify"

"Gun ready" She aims and waited for her to order her to fire while Sasha maneuver the tank to avoid enemy fire then she orders to fire at the damage manticore this time penetrating the front and disables it completely now dead on the track fires again and blew up. The tanks continue to advance avoiding the enemy fire and returns fire at the remaining forces managing to destroy some of the manticores and growlers
