Chapter 13.1

Unexpected foe

[30 minutes before the sangvis ferri counter attack]

Anaiel along with 101 and 107 walked through the alley avoiding sangvis units advancing on the roads making their progress slow

"That's a lot of them" 107 said as Anaiel and 101 looked at the windows alert for possible ambush

"That's just the first wave, we should hurry before they launch the attack" Anaiel replied as the last Sangvis units passed them. The trio run across the road and stop at the alley then 101 looked at the holomap and notified Anaiel

"The jammer location is just three blocks away but i think a considerate force is guarding it" Anaiel nods then she takes out a flare on her chest pocket and gave it to 107

"I'm giving you this flare, light it up once we disable the jammer so they will recognize it that we did our job" Anaiel said as 107 receive the flare

"Ro-roger ma'am" 107 put the flare on her vest

"Seems were ok now, time to disable that jammer" 101 moved up as the two follow her, they navigate through the buildings and use the route where they will have concealment in order not to alert the enemy. They manage to go near at the position by using the collapsed building as cover, Anaiel peek through the loophole and saw three Manticore and a platoon of Vespids guarding the position

"Three manticore and a platoon of Vespids, no Striker and Jaeger spotted. No heavily armoured dolls, were good" Anaiel said to them as she ready her SCAR H with PM II scope and a canted red dot sight plus an underbarrel vertical foregrip. She aimed at the manticore optics and fired several rounds, 107 quickly suppress the vespids while 101 sprint and take cover as she grab two small disk and threw it on the remaining manticore. Upon hitting the manticores they were suddenly get engulf on electrical arc disabling them then Anaiel emerge from cover and charging to the Vespids killing several of enemies and dive to cover. 107 take to opportunity as the confused defenders were mauled down as she fired in burst killing dozen more, now secured 101 advance and finished off the remaining enemies as they attempt to move to another cover in vain. The trio scan the perimeter and once clear they entered the building where no resistance happened, they clear the whole floor and proceeds to go uptop where they found the jammer unguarded

"No hostiles, i will check the jammer and keep my six clear" 101 said as she began to walk towards the jammer, Anaiel look around while 107 ready herself when suddenly two scout flying overhead and pointed its weapons to them, then several dinergate and tarantula appear surrounding them. The trio take positions and ready for a fight, Anaiel quickly shoot the two scouta destroying them quickly while 107 opened fire at the dinergates and tarantula as they charge towards them. 101 threw a two more disk at the ground as the dinergates and tarantula close in where it quickly activated creating a electrical arc disabling all dinergates and tarantula making them stop on their ground. Anaiel and 107 quickly reloaded while 101 dash towards the jammer and slide where she began attach her tablet to a usb port.

"I'm in and trying to disable the jammer" 101 said to the two as she began to scan the diagnostics, 107 and Anaiel cover 101 in case of combat

"The system is different, i can't hack in. We need to destroy the jammer for good" 101 said as she take of the cable on the usb port as Anaiel take out one block of C4

"Plant it on the base of the jammer" Anaiel said as she attached the C4 while 101 assist her, upon finishing planting the C4 the trio quickly left the building and take cover behind the disabled manticore
