It's been a few weeks since we won the Grand Magic Games now, and to be honest, nothing interesting has happened. Yeah our guild is slowly going back to how it used to be and we're gradually getting more members, but it's been boring.
"NATSU!!!"
I jump at the sudden sound and turn to the person who called my name. There Stood Lucy, one hand on her hip the other shoving a mission in my face. Once I finally got the paper far enough away from my face to read, I observe the mission.
" Hmm, doesn't seem too hard, and it pays well. So we might as well go. Just means we get more food!"
I grin up at Lucy, "We're in"
"Yay alright!" Lucy fist bumps the air above her head as she shouts out in joy.
'Well, at least I'll get enough money to buy more food' I thought as I walk out of the guild and get ready to go on the mission.
Time skip cuz I had nothing else to write
"Oh man that was a blast, we need to do easy ones like that more often Natsu" Lucy exclaims on our way back to the train. We had just completed our mission and are now carrying our reward back with us.
"Haha yea, easy mission, lots of cash. Nothing could be better" I grin. The mission wasn't too hard, just had to fight a bunch of small monsters, but for a hefty sum of money and who could complain about that.
As we continue to walk, I catch a swift of a familiar scent and stop dead in my tracks. Lucy stops and turns to me confused about why I had just stopped walking.
"Natsu what's wrong?"
I just stand there silently for a moment trying to figure out where I smelt this scent before. Then it hits me.
"Lucy, stay here. I'll be right back." I then turn off in a different direction and start running as fast as my legs could take me. Leaving behind a confused lucy.
"Um what the heck. HEY NATSU WHERE ARE YOU GOING?!" I just ignore her and keep running.
I finally stop once the scent has become very pungent. I sniff around a bit more and start to walk towards the scent. I stop next to a group of bushes and bend down. I crawl through the small hole that has been created by someone or something else in the past and once I have made it through the bushes, I'm in a small clearing and in the middle of that clearing is a familiar figure. I continue towards that figure and notice they are knocked out and badly injured.
Once I was kneeling right next to the person, I turned them over to revel the face of that girl I met way back at the Grand Magic Games. I fell back.
'I never thought I would see her again. Let along at a place like this'
I decided that she wouldn't last long out here so I picked her up and placed her over my shoulder and headed back to where Lucy was frantically waiting for me.
"Natsu! Where the hell have you been and who the heck is that?" Lucy shouted at me the moment she saw my returning figure. I laughed nervously and gave her my famous lobsided grin.
"Long story Luigi, but I'll explain when we return to the guild"
The whole time on the way back, I could feel Lucy glare daggers at the unconscious girl, almost like she knew who she was...
