Chapter Five- Plans In The Making

Tom shifted in his seat as the spiky haired male and his cola loving friend waited for Matt. The silence was heavy as the clock ticked loudly, marking the seconds that go by. He didn't understand why he was called to this meaning- There wasn't one scheduled for this week. Tick, tock, tick, tock... The seconds where slow and daunting as the clock continued, not stopping. Tick, tock, tick, tock... Where was Matt? It's been ten minutes already.... Even Edd seemed uncomfortable as he stared at the door. 

"Ah! Sorry guys! I was caught up in something!"

Matt said as he bursted into the room, breaking the silence. 

"It's fine Matt, come take a seat."

Edd said calmly as he signaled towards a seat. Matt followed and sat down into the chair.

"Alright,"

Edd started, clearing his throat.

"I know that you two are probably wondering why I called you both here for this... Unsceduled meeting..."

Edd stared at the door in which Matt came through in. 

"Matt?"

"Yes?"

"Did you lock the door when you came in?"

The tensions started to get higher. 

"Mmm... I can't remember! I just walked in..."

Matt said sheepishly as he rubbed his head and looked down a bit.

"Nah, it's fine. Try to remember, okay?"

"Okay!"

Edd stood up and walked over to the door, opening it to take a look around and quickly locked the door as he re entered the room.

"So, as I was saying,"

Edd started as he got back to his seat.

"I suspect that there may be a traitor in our ranks."

Edd stated. Tom raised an eye and Matt just looked confused.

"What do you mean we have a 'traitor' in our ranks?"

Edd stared at Tom in the eye. 

"It's exactly what I mean."

Edd hissed as he glared at Tom. Edd then reached into his pocket and pulled out a cassette labeled 'Future plans. Give to R.L on Friday.'

"THIS is what I found in one of the storage closets that isn't really in use. And by the looks of this tape, it's still new."

Tom's and Matt's eyes widened as they took in the information. Edd put the tape back into his pocket and pulled out two PDAs and slid one to Tom and one to Matt. The two leaders looked at the devices curiously as they examined them. 

"Ooh! What does this button do?"

Matt inquired as he pressed the button. Immediately, the PDA transformed into a small handheld mirror that had the words 'M@TT IS THE BEST' imprinted on the back of the purple mirror. 

"Well you see,"

Edd started.

"I made these two PDAs for the both of you. These can allow us to communicate without others knowing. We can both share information to each other, HOWEVER, both of you must NEVER show this to ANYONE."

Edd emphasized the words through gritted teeth as he continued to speak.

"I made those two specifically for the two of you so only you can open them and nobody else. The devices don't need any connection since they are both already connected to each other. As Matt has showed us, there is a button that allows your PDA to transform into an object. They are water proof so it's fine if you accidentally drop it into your sink or something."
