Tom jolted back up in a cold sweat, he was trembling as he struggled to calm his breathing. He couldn't sleep. Every time he tried, he would wake up as a shaking mess. It was that dream again... Tom tried to recall the dream but nothing comes up. As if the dream was never there in the first place. The void eyed male flops back down onto his bed, staring up at the ceiling. It was too quiet for his taste. Tom shuffled a bit and eventually got out of his bed quietly and sat in the chair next to his desk. He stared at the charging PDA in front of him and proceeds to turn it on. Hmm, I just realized that Edd forgot to explain to Matt and I how to use this thing...  Tom unplugged the PDA and got up, looking at the screen curiously; It was like any normal device that you could find in stores. It was a tablet sized device that seemed to be transparent on the inside. (Ya know, the edges the visible but the middle part is invisible?"

As he studied the lock screen, Tom then proceeded to swipe the screen, causing the device to unlock. Hmm, I should really put a password on this... I wonder if Edd can see my screen.... Tom swiped around and found the gray settings button and scrolled down to change his password. Hmmm... What about... Tom typed in 'Smirnoff' as his password and paused for a moment, then changed it again. Nah, that's too easy... When Tom was satisfied with his password, Tom then exited the app. He swiped the screen a few times and found a green colored app labeled 'Buttons Manual'. As he pressed the green app, Tom could've sworn he heard something outside as he turned to face the door. That was weird.

The spiky haired figure turned back to the device to examine it a bit more. The PDA was more similar to a tablet so it was easy to figure out. As the app loaded, a notification went off with a small 'ping'. Edd had messaged him. Tom swiped the notification bar down as he read the message.

"Tom, I wanted to talk to you for a bit. I've tried talking to Matt but he won't respond. I'm pretty sure he's asleep and out of the three of us, I find you slightly better than Matt when it comes to secrecy. So what I wanted to say is "What if we infiltrate the Red Army base?" I know you are probably wondering "Edd! What kind of plan is that?!" I know, it sounds illogical but hear me out! I've spotted a few posters hung around the city Matt and I had scoured a few days ago for supplies. You know, the day where we had to bring back a few recruits? Yeah, that one. There where a few posters that basically said to join the Red Army. There was also a location encrypted on the back of one of the posters I had found when I picked it up. The poster is still new so we may use that to our advantage. I'll keep this short since you probably just woke up but please respond to this idea."

Tom pressed the notification bar and was brought to another app that said 'Cryption'. He noticed on the side of his screen, he could see who was online. Matt seemed to be offline as Edd had said. The void eyed male then began to type.

OceanicCanine: Hey Edd, I got your message. I can see what you're planning and it's kinda a good idea. What if the posters are a trap though?

ForestAlpaca: Ah! Tom, I didn't notice you where online- But yeah, I've thought this through already. I may or may not have sent Aiden out to that location. No worries though! There where no traps although there where cameras around. Luckily Aiden wasn't spotted.

OceanicCanine: That's good to know. I'll talk to you later.

ForestAlpaca: SUre thing.

ForestAlpaca: *Sure

ForestAlpaca is now offline

Tom got off the app and looked at the clock. 11:37. Huh, I guess Edd is doing paperwork? Tom explored the device a bit until he decided to click on 'AppStore'. The brunette then went to search and typed in 'KestrelSketch!'. There on the screen, appeared an icon that appeared to have a silhouette of a bird's head on a cream background. Simple, but recognizable. The brunette then pressed the 'install' button and exited the app. After waiting for a few seconds, the app was finally installed and Tom moved the app down to his task bar. Deciding not to use the device any longer, Tom then closed all his tabs, closed the device, and plugged it back in to charge as Tom left the PDA to go back to the comfort of his bed. Tom stared up at the ceiling, his vision blurring  bit before he blinked it away.

Fatigue washed over his like waves of sea water if you had ever fallen too close to the water. (Yes, I know how that feels-) Tom's eyes began to flutter close, releasing him into sleep.

"Hey Thomas!"

The figure in the red hoodie said, smiling.

"Don't call me that!"

Tom spat, glaring at the figure with devil like horns for hair. The figure's eyes softened a bit as he looked at Tom.

"Look, I'm not trying to be annoying, Tom..."

"Well you are, so leave me alone!"

The figure sighed.

"Well, if you want to talk to me, I left my Cryption code in your bag if you ever want to talk to me..."

He said as he began to walk away and down the silent hallways.

"Pfff, as if I ever want to talk to him..."

Tom mumbled.

"How did that jerk get this into my backpack anyways...?"

The spiky haired male mumbled quietly as he reached into the side pocket of his backpack and pulled out a small slip of paper from the pocket that read-

Tom was immediately thrown against the wall as he struggled to be released by his captor. 'How the hell did I get here?!' He thought as he wrestled the arm away.

"Look, I told you to leave me alone!"

The void eyed male said as he stared back at a much taller, dark purple silhouette that loomed over him threateningly. It only snarled back in response as the figure advanced towards him, it's jaws gaping, revealing needle sharp teeth. Tom shuddered as the scent of alcohol washed over him. Small, quiet voices mumbled nonsense into his ears as Tom backed away. The creature was coming closer and the voices only got louder as Tom clenched his eyes shut-

The brunette shot up, gasping for breath as he struggled to breath. The figure turned to look at the digital clock on his desk, 12:15. This is going to be a long night... Tom sighed as he rolled over onto his side. He couldn't remember what he had dreamed about but for an odd reason, Tom could hear a few voices that muttered nonstop about something that eventually stopped as he laid onto his stomach and his face into his pillow. Yep, this was going to be a long night.
