Solemates Forever: A Starr and Cole Romance

Episode 13

James Ford had been listening to Stefan's plans via a bug planted in his room in Llanview. Now that he knew what Stefan's plans were, James intended to let John and Michael know just what was in store for them. He headed for Llanview hospital to let John and Michael know what Stefan had planned.

As James knocked on Hope Manning-Thornhart's hospital room, where Cole and Starr were rejoicing at the news that their daughter came through the surgery, there were shots that came through Hope's hospital window.

Starr ducked and covered Hope with her body as everybody else ducked for cover. When the last of the shots stopped, Cole raised his head and looked over at Hope's hospital bed and was horrified to see blood coming from Hope. He shooked Hope and Starr, only to discover the blood wasn't Hope's but Starr's. Thanks to Starr's bravery, Hope was saved from the blasts, but Starr was shot several times in the back.

Cole screamed for help and pushed Hope's call button as Marcy came running into Hope's room. When she saw what had happened, she paged a code red over the intercom and several nurses and doctors came in to see what was wrong.

"Starr's been shot!" Cole yelled, as the nurses sprang into action to stop bleeding coming from the back of Starr.

When they had managed to get Starr's vital signs stablized, she was immediately rushed to O.R. For immediate surgery.

Dr. Michael McBain was paged to surgery, but he was a no-show for Starr's surgery. No one could find him, or John McBain for that matter.

Allison had seized both Michael and John per Stefan's orders while the shooting was taking place.

Finally after everything was dying down, Cole looked over in the corner of Hope's hospital room to find James lying in a pool of his own blood. He had been shot before he could inform Michael and John what was going to transpire, then died almost instantly.
