I woke up to my phone blasting my favorite song, Human.
I perked up and turned my phone off. I walked to where my clothes hang on my chair.
I pulled my clothes on and staggered into the bathroom.
I applied mascara and my favorite lip gloss. The lip gloss smelt of strawberries.
I straightened my hair and just left it down. I walked back into my bedroom and grabbed my phone off my night stand. I grabbed my book bag, my black NorthFace jacket, and my truck keys.
I walked down stairs and grabbed a pop-tart. My mom leaves for work at 5:00am so I was used to not having anybody make me breakfast, or say good bye.
I gobbled my pop-tart down and got into my truck. I started the engine. I got my phone out and plugged it into the radio. I put on my playlist and drove to school.

I walked into Mrs. White's classroom proud because I wasn't late, although I already had detention for today.
Class began and I looked to my left where Jake would sit, he wasn't there. I sighed, but I didn't know if it was for relief or I was disappointed he wasn't here. I hope it was for relief.
_______________
We were mid-way in class and the door opened. I looked up and met eyes with Jake. I smiled. The rest of the class laughed.
"Well, well, well look who decided to join us. I guess Mr. Jake will be joining me for detention also?" She said. The whole class laughed, but shut up when he groaned.
I watched him walk all the way down the aisle. He sat down and looked at me. "What are you staring at?" He asked.
"I-i.....nothing." I said returning my attention to the teacher. My heart began to beat fast again. How does he do this to me? I asked myself.

When it was lunch time everybody groaned because it was meatloaf Thursday. Everybody hated the school's meatloaf. I just hated meatloaf in general.
I was the last person in the lunch room since I had to go to my locker for some money. I walked to the drink machine and bought a water bottle.
I started to walk towards my booth, but Jeremy was sitting there. I stopped in my tracks, and searched for another spot to sit. There was only one spot I would consider sitting, so I walked over to his booth and sat down.
Jake was looking at his hands, which were really bruised up and red. I knew he boxed, but I thought they wore gloves.
When I sat down he looked up at me. "Why are you sitting with me?" He asked furrowing his eyebrows. He was really calmer than I thought he would be.
"Jeremy was sitting in my booth and I didn't have any where else to sit." I said. "And you looked lonely." I mumbled.
He looked to his right them back at me. "I don't need your company." He said. His jaw was set into a straight line.
"Why can't we be friends? Just give me one reason." I said.
"I don't want a friend." He got up and left. I jumped out my seat and ran after him. He walked into the hallways.
"Jake." I said. He turned around, and started walking towards me. I slowly backed away from him until my back hit the lockers. I shivered.
He slammed his hands next to my head on the lockers.
He leaned his face in close. "Why do you want to be friends so bad?" He whispered, his hot breath hit my face. I shivered again.
"Your mysterious." I said narrowing my eyes.
He smiled then chuckled. His deep laugh was just beautiful. "Well that could be a bad thing." He said and shook his head. "If I give you a chance will you leave me alone?" He asked.
I nodded slowly, and smiled. He stepped back and let his hands fall to his sides. I stepped forward, just to get my back off the lockers. I just admired him for a few seconds. I looked into his light blue eyes. Then I moved to his hair it was light brown, and looked fluffy. I moved down his body, you could see his ripped muscles through the shirt he was wearing. That's when I looked at his hands. It looked like they had been through a lot.
I grabbed his hand. "What happened?" I asked. He slowly slid his hand out of mine.
"Nothing." He said.
"Well the thing about friends is your supposed to tell them stuff." I said. That's when the bell rang.
He turned on his heel and started down the hall to his class. "See you in detention!" I yelled to him. I saw him nod.
I smiled to myself and started to my class.
I couldn't wait for detention. I thought I would never say that, but I was happy at least I had one friend.

I walked into the library. "Hello, Mrs. White." I said with a smile.
"What did you eat this morning? Your to happy." She said looking up from her book. I just shrugged her off and walked to the last table. I took my seat and waited.
Soon the door opened. I glanced up from my hands, and it was Jake. I felt my self grin ear to ear.
He sat down in the same chair he did yesterday, without looking at me. it's funny how it's just me and him for detention.
I grabbed my book bag and slid my chair over next to him. He just looked at me.
I sat down in the chair and turned to face him. "Hey!" I said way to excitedly than I wanted to.
He just nodded.
I put my hands on the table. Then I glanced at his hands again, which were intwined together in his lap.
"What happened to your hands?" I asked him.
He just stared at me not giving me an answer.
"I thought you were giving me a chance! Your supposed to talk to each other." I said.
He just stared at me again.
"Fuck. I thought you would actually give me a chance." I said. I started to get up from my chair, but he pushed me slightly down back in my seat.
"Your funny when you angry." He said laughing.
"I wish I could say the same." I said. he just smirked.
"Are you gonna answer my questions? Or ever talk to me?" I asked him.
"Depends." He said. With a slight smile.
"Okay, if you don't want to talk about your hands.... What's your favorite color?" I asked him.
"Hhhmhh. Yellow." He said. He turned his head to look at me.
My mouth gaped open. "What?" He asked. He had a surprised look on his face.
"I just figured it would be black since you wear that all the time." I said. He shrugged.
"Yellow is just a cool color." He said. I swear he has the most deepest, sexiest voice I've ever heard.
I smiled. He's kind of different than I thought he would be.
"What's your favorite food?" I asked him.
"Lasagna." He said nodding.
I laughed at him. "What?" He asked.
"Nothing." I said still laughing. He hit my arm softly.
He remained serious. "Okay, lasagna. Well what's your favorite type of music." I asked him. I figured it would be rock or something, or hard core metal.
"Well, any type, but country." He said.
"Oh. Okay. What's your favorite so-." I was cut off by him.
"Can I ask you some questions now? I'm tired of being interrogated." He laughed a little.
I laughed. "Okay." I smiled at him. He is actually cool.
"Your favorite color?" He asked.
I thought about it for a second. "Black." I said. I was just playing with him.
He laughed. "Really?" He asked.
"Nah, I would have to say light green." I said.
He nodded. "Favorite food?" He asked."Watermelon, definitely." I said.
He smiled. "Favorite song?"
"I don't know." I said. I lied because I didn't want him to laugh at me. He probably didn't know the song anyways.
"Oh." He said.
We sat there staring at each other.
"Okay, detention is over." Mrs. White said.
Jake looked up at Mrs. White breaking the eye contact. I got up out my seat, and so did Jake. I grabbed my book bag and pushed my chair under the table.
Jake and I walked to the parking lot together.
"This is so weird." Jake said.
"What is?" I said. I stopped where I was at and stared at him. He stopped and turned so he could look at me.
"This." He said gesturing to me and him.
"Friends?" I asked tilting my head a little.
"Yeah, it's weird." He said.
"Weird bad or weird good?" I asked him.
"I'm not sure." He said.
"It's just because you haven't had a friend in a long time. Now you've got one. We'll get to know each other, it will get less weird. Trust me." I said. I stepped closer to him. He just stayed straight.
"Okay." He said.
I think he has mixed emotions. I think the good side that I saw in detention wanted to be friends really bad, but the bad ass side is saying no. I think he doesn't know which on to believe.
I walked to my truck, and he walked to his gray 2013 mustang with black stripes going up it. My mouth dropped. I've always wanted a mustang, but my dad died so I got his truck.
"Bye!" I yelled to him before he got into his car. He waved and sped off.
I got into my truck and started the engine. I checked my phone and it was 4:00.
_______________
I jumped out my truck grabbing my book bag and walked inside my house. I dropped my book bag beside the door. I knew my mom wasn't going to be home since she works with Google until 6:00.Since she works at Google I don't have to get a job. She gets paid a lot, but I'm not exactly sure how much.
I walked into the kitchen and grabbed a can of Mountain Dew and a bag of Doritos.
I didn't have any homework so I sat on the couch with my phone. I turned the tv on and turned it to the pop channel. Animals was on by Maroon5.
I FaceTimed Georgia.
"Hey!" She said.
"Hey!" I said. I heard a deep voice coming from her screen. "Who's with you?" I asked. I stuffed a Dorito in my mouth.
"Oh, I was going to tell you yesterday, but you had to sleep. Anyways the voice you heard is my boyfriend Cameron!" A guy with dark brown hair and brown eyes appeared on the screen.
My mouth was full of Doritos, but I didn't care. "Hey! I'm Caroline! It's nice to meet you." That's all I managed to say. I swallowed my Doritos and laughed. He laughed through the screen too.
"Well, I'm Cameron! I've heard a lot about you. Georgia talks about you all the time." Cameron said rolling his eyes. He was actually really handsome.
"Well I'm glad she talks good about me." I said. "Well, I'll let you to continue what ever it is your doing. I'll call you later Georgia!" I said.
"K!" She said. We waved our goodbyes and I hung up.
I can't believe she got another boyfriend, before I did. Might I say he was a hottie.
I finished my Doritos and walked up to my room. Now what to do? I checked the time on my phone. It was only 4:30.
My phone buzzed and I checked it. It was a text from mom.
Mom: I'm sorry honey, but I have to work late.
Caroline: Okay, that's fine. I'm going to eat at the Diner.
Mom: Okay. Love you!
I felt like changing into something comfortable. I walked into my closet and put on a pair of jogging a pants, a t-shirt, and a pair of Nike high-tops. I grabbed my phone and my purse, ask walked down stairs. I got my keys off the key ring and walked to my truck.
I stepped into my truck and drove to the Diner.
