^*^ Caroline's POV^*^
{Next morning}I woke up to the smell of bacon cooking. My soreness has wore off so it's easier to move.
I grabbed my phone and stuffed it into my pocket. I walked down stairs and staggered into the kitchen.
My mom was cooking. I sat down in a stool in front of our island. "Good morning." I said taking in the smell of the bacon.
"Good morning sweetheart. Did you have fun last night?" She asked, still cooking.
No. "Yes! I stayed with Linzy. She's so nice. I think I might start to get a friend." I said. She turned to look at me.
"Yay! You need a friend. I was starting to get worried." My mom said.
I rolled my eyes. "Okay. Is the food ready? I'm starving!" I said.
She smiled and handed me a plate filled with pancakes, bacon, and eggs. I gobbled it down, and drank some orange juice. My phone buzzed. I licked my fingers, because I had syrup on them. I checked my phone and it was a message from Jake. Instantly a smile spread across my face.
Jake: Hey.
Caroline: Hey!
Jake: How are you feeling?
Caroline: Great! hbu?
Jake: Good.
Caroline: Are you still coming today?
Jake: Only if you want me to
Caroline: I guess you are coming
Jake: See you in about an hour.I locked my phone and put it into my pocket.
He's really not a bad boy. He's sweet.
Then mom walked into the kitchen. "I'm going to go run some errands. Will you be okay?" She asked.
"Of course mom, I'm 18. Oh can a uh friend come over?" I asked her. I was nervous.
"Sure, Linzy?" She asked, grabbing her keys.
"Uh no. It's a guy from school, Jake." I said and bit my nail because I was nervous of what she would say.
"I guess so, but stay in the living room. No bedroom." She said.
I kissed her cheek. "Thanks mom!" I ran upstairs, and quickly stripped down. I jumped into the shower and washed off. I jumped out and wrapped a towel around me. I ran to my closet, and put on a t-shirt and some soffee shorts. I put my hair into a ponytail, and I didn't put on any makeup because what's the use it's just Jake. I don't need to impress him.
I heard a knock on the door. "Coming!" I yelled. I grabbed my phone and ran down stairs. I opened the door and Jake stood there. He had on a blue t-shirt and khaki cargo shorts, with Nike pros. I was pretty much breath taken. He looked so hot.
"Hey." He said. He gave me a half smile, and it was to die for.
I sighed not meaning to. He smirked at me and I could feel my cheeks getting hot.
"Hey, come in." I said and moved out the door way. "My mom had errands to do. She knows your here though." I said.
He nodded.
I walked over to the couch and sat down, he followed and sat down next to me keeping his distance though.
"What are we going to do?" I asked him.
"I don't know...." He said.
"Hhmmmm. How about a movie, or we could play basketball." I said pointing toward the back door which leads to the basket ball goal.
"Basketball." He said getting off the couch. He held out his hand, and I gladly took it and he helped me up. I quickly took my hand out of his and started towards the back door.
I put on my tennis shoes, and socks that I had at the door.
I grabbed the basketball by the door and walked outside.
"You play?" He asked.
"Yeah, but I'm not good." I said.
"One on one?" He asked.
I smirked. "Your on." I dribbled the ball to the goal and shot a two pointer.
I smirked at him and he ran after me. He got the ball away from me, but I got it back. I shot a one pointer and smirked at him again.
"Your not good?" He asked furrowing his eye brows.
"I play a little." I said, and threw the ball at him for him to check it. He bounced it back and I shot the basket from where I was at.
"Not good my ass." Jake mumbled.
I laughed at him. "Here." I handed him the ball and did puppy eyes.
He laughed and shot the basket.
We continued until we were about to pass out.
"Water?" I asked him out of breath.
He nodded leaning over trying to catch his breath.
He followed me inside and into the kitchen. I grabbed two waters and tossed him one. We drank the water.
"Honey! Can you come help me with the groceries!" My mom yelled coming into the door.
I shook my head and walked into the living room with Jake following. "Mom, this is Jake. Jake this is my mom, Mya Conley." I said."Nice to meet you Ms. Conley." He said.
"Nice to meet you too, but please call me Mya." She said.
She put the groceries in the kitchen and walked back to us. They shook hands.
"You have a lovely home." Jake said.
"Why, thank you." She said.
Dang I didn't know he could be such a gentleman.
"Jake can will you help us getting the groceries?" I asked him.
"I was planning on it." He said and smiled. We brought in all the groceries. My mom put them up and Jake and I sat on the couch.
"What time is it?" He asked.
I checked my phone and it was 5:00. dang time flies.
"5 o'clock." I said.
"Shit." He said under his breath.
"What?" I asked in a whisper.
"I have a boxing match at 6:00. I'm sorry, but I gotta go." He said. He stood up, but I grabbed his hand.
"Can I go? I've always wanted to." I said. Ever since he moved here junior year, I've wanted to see him box. Everybody says he always wins.
"I guess so." He said shrugging.
"Yay!" I said.
I got up and released his hand. "Do I need to change?" I asked him.
He looked me up and down. "No, it's fine what you got on." He said.
"Okay." I said. "Mom! Jake and I are going out! I'll be back around..." I yelled.
"Just make sure your back around 11:00" My mom yelled.
"Okay!" I yelled back.
"Okay, be safe! Love you!" She yelled.
"Love you!" I yelled back and grabbed my phone. "My truck, or your car." I asked him.
"Defiantly my car. I'll bring you home afterward." He said.
I smiled. "Okay let's go."
