      SSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Template sat at the bed desperately holding himself together, the sound of buzzing pixels that had surrounded him was more than enough to constantly rebut any argument or excuse he had made for himself.

His eyes were screwed tight, a tongue was bitten harshly to resist any signs of weakness echoing from him even more than the constant words within his mind that couldn't stop repeating. And he preyed that he looked composed and was just like himself so he'd leave the room as he had been when he entered this room.

     Sadly, that wasn't the case.

Pixels and buzzing were everywhere around him and only picked up its speed with every mental slip-up and the markings around his eyes leaked similar to the beginning of a flood or a waterfall going down and became frozen in time. Even without those components, just the fact he was edging closer and closer to a mental break down proved to be more than enough to show externally that he not okay in the slightest.

It was then and only then did the door softly creak open. Template didn't notice though, the buzzing static sound around him being all he could hear from the outside world. When Pale had stepped inside and stood close to the bed however was when Template finally noted the other's existence in the room. He didn't greet him with open arms though, he was still upset with him after all.

Pale, judging by the lighter but still predominantly showing red magic showing through his eyes and cheeks, was still just as pissed off as Template. But nevertheless, he sat down beside him. Template tried to avoid his gaze by turning his teary face away, only for a hand to press itself against his cheek and turn him back.

For a moment Pale observed him, his thumb caressing his cheek where tears were still running down and his mark was still 'leaking'. Template's breath was held feeling the gentle rubbing, not really wanting to be touched but it managed to kick him out of the quite negative thoughts.

Before Template could bring up the thought to ask what he was doing, Pale spoke up.

"I'm... I'm sorry." Pale muttered out with a tone that was almost stubborn yet ashamed, glancing away from him as his cheeks lit up even more with a bolder red. Template was a bit surprised to say the very least.

"But... You're mad, how could you ever be sorry if you don't even mean it?" Template quickly stiffened back up, hiding most of his face in his scarf. Pale huffed at him before retracting his hand away from him and getting his feet on the bed, crossing his arms over his knees.

"I do mean it! I know I was... a little extra... And I knew I was picking on something I shouldn't have, and I'm not proud of doing that. I'm sorry..." Pale mumbled out, a red-tinted liquid welling up in his sockets. Template turned his body over at him, noticing the tears beginning to form in his eyes. A pang of guilt overwhelmed him.

He quickly laid Pale down, setting his pen to the side as he went back to healing him and making sure he was healed well. Both Template and Pale looked away from each other.

"... You are forgiven," Template murmured, loud enough for only Pale's ears to hear. "Just please, don't do that ever again." Pale kept his gaze away from the speaker, feeling anger towards himself and feeling as though he didn't deserve a glimpse. He only nodded in response.

It took some extra time before Template finished mending Pale back to health, going back over to hug his pen and sit back in his thoughts. Pale already knew, and he wasn't in the mood to fuck more shit up by confronting Template any more than he needed to while he was in this state of mind. He heaved a sigh.

"I hope you know I still care for you." There was a small pause of silence.

      "I know."

And just like that, he left Template to his own devices, going out the bedroom door knowing things will get better once Template is.
