you have a cold

Zendaya could hear your terrible cough from the bedroom all the way in the kitchen.

She's trying to finish up the soup, knowing it'll help your sore throat, but at the same time, all she wants to do is go back upstairs and hold you close to keep you warm.

You've been sick with the worst cold you've ever had for the past couple of days but today has been the worst day so far. You're so drained of energy you can't even roll over in bed. You keep getting hot one second only to feel like you're freezing the next, and all you wanna do is sleep.

When the soup was finally done Zendaya carried it into the room and put it on the nightstand. She watched your breathing closely for a minute, making sure it was never too labored and put her hand on your forehead. She felt that your fever had gone down a little but she didn't feel any better seeing you in this state.

"Y/n?" She lightly shook your shoulder and watched you open your eyes. "I made you some soup." You groaned and closed your eyes again. "Come on, honey. It's gonna help your throat," she started to rub your arm causing your eyes to open again.

She took the bowl in her hand and put a spoonful of the soup by your mouth. You reluctantly parted your lips but you couldn't deny how good the broth felt against your throat. "Good?" You nodded and watched Zendaya relax a little at that.

She fed you a little more of it until you couldn't eat anymore and slumped back against the pillow. She put the bowl back on the nightstand and looked at the clock. "You can have more medicine soon." You whined, already dreading taking it, not looking forward to the disgusting liquid.

Zendaya chuckled and pushed a strand of hair behind your ear. "Go back to sleep." She whispered and got up to go put the bowl in the sink, but you grabbed her by her hand and pulled her back down. "Don't go. Stay with me."

She could tell how weak and tired you were, so she was instantly laying back next to you. "I love you. I'm here. Go to sleep now," she said, rubbing your back soothingly as your breathing began to slow and you soon fell asleep, hoping that tomorrow wouldn't be as bad as today.
