Luca's POV
"What are you doing" I ask my little mate as she has her eyes closed counting

"I'm... 4,5... playing... 6,7... hide and...8,9.. go seek.. 10 ready or not here I come"

I watch in amusement as my adorable little mate hobbles along in her boot to try to find some kids.

Gosh I can just imagine my little mate doing this with our own kids. Gosh as much as I don't want to let the wall around me that took so long to build, I can already feel her crumbling it down and she's only been here for a short period of time.

I suddenly jolt out of my daze when I hear one of the little kids named Carissa scream

"Dang nabbit why did you have to find me first"

"Haha sorry Carissa"

Suddenly Carissa jumps into my mates arms

"It's okay Luna I forgive you, but only if you carry me"

"Oh that's an interesting compromise there Carissa"

Soon all of the other children jump on my little mate and she falls to the ground.

Watching this I can't help but growl. I know they mean no harm, but she's already hurt I don't need my little mate to get more injured.

All of the children got of my mate at once "sorry Alpha we didn't mean to"

My mate gave me a look like she knew I was a little on edge right now.

"Hey little ones why don't you guys get on home I'm sure your parents will want you back soon for dinner"

"Luna we don't have parents we are the Orphans of the pack"

The look my mate melted my heart. Almost like she knew how they felt. Did she? Gosh I don't even know the kind of life my little mate had before she came here.

I looked at the kids. "Alright time to get back to Ms Mary I'm sure she has dinner ready for you little rugrats"

"Yes Alpha. We hope to see you soon Luna"

"I hope so too"

After the kids left my mate looked at me with those adorable hazel eyes.

"Sooo... how's it going?"

"We should head back to the house so you can rest your foot"

"Oh yeah that's a good idea"

We walked in silence until we saw my stupid brother all over Jessica.

"Whose that with Christian?"

I looked at my mate who had a jealous look on her face. Gosh as much as I want to just stare at my beautiful mate's adorable facial expression, I'm too focused on wanting to kill my brother. Is he really flirting with that wolf when he has a beautiful mate right here? Yes our mate is human and yes it scares us both that our enemies have an easy way to weaken us now but to flirt with someone else

"Earth to Luca"

"What?"

"Who the fuck is with Christian?"

"First little mate, mind your tongue and second that is Jessica she is one of our main warriors"

"I don't care what she is, why is she so close to Christian"

"Are you jealous little mate"

With that question she soon became flustered and her cheeks turned red

"Pssh me jealous as if"

"Okay little mate whatever you say"

We continued walking into the house

"um you don't have a girl that your that close with, do you?"

"So you are jealous"

"No I didn't say that I just... um... I just want to be prepared...yeah thats it"

"Whatever you say..." I moved closer so that my breathe was fanning her ear. "But for your information your the only girl I want to be pleasing"

I watched as her face turned tomato red.

"Umm...okay..."

"Here's your room little mate. Shower and rest up. If you need anything don't be afraid to call me, my room is just next door and if I'm not in my room I'm most likely in the office downstairs."

"Alrighty. Thanks Luca"

God I love when this woman says my name. I can't wait until she is moaning my name which hopefully won't be too far away.
