Catalina's POV

As Luca started to walk away my stomach begin to growl.

"Ahh wait Luca do you think you can show me to the kitchen I actually haven't eaten anything all day"

*growl*

I flinched. "Sorry I can find it myself"

"No little mate it's not your fault. I just thought the idiot Erik would have at least fed you or something. Come on I'll get you something"

As we walked, well hobbled in my case. I couldn't help but hope that he didn't see me flinch. I know they already see me as weak, but I can't have them see me as broken as well. I know I shouldn't care, but something inside me just wants to be accepted by them. Hell as much I don't want to admit it, I just want to be accepted by someone, anyone.

Luca suddenly broke me out of my thoughts.

"Are you afraid of me?"

"Um... no... why would you think that?"

"Because of the way you flinched back there"

Damn he did notice.

"No you just scared me. I kind of forgot you can growl you know"

Let's hope I can convince him for now. It's not that I'm scared of him, I just can't forget my past which I wish I could.

"Okay well we are here so what would you like to eat"

"Whatever you have"

"Does pasta sound good?"

"Yeah that's good"

I watched as he began to cook noodles and I couldn't help but smile. He looked so focus on just cooking simple noodles.

"What are you smiling about little mate"

"Oh nothing... can I ask you something Luca"

"Sure"

"How come your nicer to me now? Earlier today you were kind of a dick face"

"How come you are?"

"I wasn't mean before"

"I don't think calling your mates assholes in every sentence is nice"

"Well can you blame me. Christian just picked me up and took me to a place with werewolves which I didn't know existed and then I find out that I have not one, but two soulmates who are Alphas of a pack making me a Luna, but oh let's not forget how one mate pretty much calls me pathetic human and the other flirts with another girl, pretty much telling me I'm not wanted."

"You sure do ramble a lot"

"Wow you know what I'm not even hungry any more"

"Sit down and eat"

"Is that a command Alpha? Because if you can't already tell I'm not one for taking commands"

"Believe me I can tell. Just sit down please"

"Fine, but I'm only doing it because the pasta looks good not because you told me to"

"Gosh you are definitely a difficult one little mate. Maybe that's why the moon goddess put us together, she wanted to see me deal with a sassy mate."

"Listen I don't..."

"No you had your little rant Catalina now your going to listen to me"

Damn I know I said I'm not one for listening to commands but hot damn the way he said that made me feel some type of way.

"You are right..."

Damn did not see those words coming out of his mouth.

"You have every right to freak out and we didn't really let you, but you have to also realize that we didn't expect our mate to be human. It's so rare and it freaked us out at first. We have a lot of enemies and when they catch wind that we have human mate, they will use that against us by possible getting ahold of you and I can't lose anyone else. I know when I first meet you I said some stuff, but then I saw your strength with how you handled us and this situation and then I saw your kindness and love with the kids this evening and.... I can't promise you much, because I'm a stubborn asshole who has a temper, but I will promise you that I will try."

"Wow...um...I...um"

Luca begins to chuckle

"You know for these couple of hours I have meet you I think this is the first time you've been speechless. Don't worry little mate you don't have to say anything. I don't expect you to I just had to get that off my chest."

"Cat"

"What?"

"You can call me Cat. I know you might like calling me little Mate, but I feel like Cat would be kind of a cute nickname and I've never really had a nickname before"

"Okay my little Cat. Are you ready for bed?"

*yawn* "yep it's been a long day"

We walked to my room in silence"

"Thanks Luca"

"No problem"

He leaned down and kissed my forehead.

His lips lingered on my forehead for a bit.

"Goodnight Cat"

"Goodnight Luca"

"You don't deserve love Catalina. I mean who can ever love a pathetic human like you"

"No your wrong"

"Am I? Your own parents didn't even want to be around you, do you really think your two mates will love you? Ha"

"No they do"

"Look your still as pathetic as you were back then, but no worries Catalina your mates won't be alive for much longer. They won't have time to tell you how much they hate you"

"No... this can't be"

"Cat..."

"No"

"Catalina"

"Just leave me alone"

Luca's POV

I was woken by my mate yelling no so I ran into her room seeing her thrashing around in her bed.

"Cat"

"Just leave me alone"

"Catalina" i yelled as I began to shake her awake

Suddenly her beautiful green eyes opened up

"Luca"

"I'm here Cat."

I climbed in bed next to her, keeping my little Cat close to my side

"Who were you yelling at?"

"Just a nightmare"

"Would it help to talk about it"

"I'm not sure. It just seemed so real"

"It's okay Cat it was just a dream. If it helps I'll stay here until you fall asleep"

"Yes please. Can I stay snuggled up to you?"

"Of course"

Soon my little mate fell deep asleep, but yet I couldn't convince myself to get up and go to my own room. To see my little mate so frightened cause my wolf to stir. What was this dream that caused this outburst.

She said it was so real, but usually vivid dreams means that what happens in this dream will occur in the future. This means that whatever frightened her may come true. I have to know if she had a dream like this before tonight. I can't just jump to conclusions.

I felt a stir next to me. I grabbed a strand of my mates hair. Oh little mate, in just one day you already have me wanting to do anything and everything in my power to protect and please you.
