Brumm's POV

Another has light the flame, in another fallen kingdom.

Another cycle is beginning.

I play my slow melody, thinking about all of the rituals that have been conducted. There we so many before I joined, and many after I became one with the Troupe. The faces have blended together of all that dance with Master, all that completed the ritual.

I do not even remember my own name, although I do enjoy my role of a musician. Playing melodies and songs that all enjoy and dance to, entertaining the Grimmkin and the audience that attend our show. Seeing Grimm dance and preform with all of the others is bittersweet in a special way; the audience are blissfully unaware about the true intentions.

I look up from the wagon, seeing that we are heading towards a strange, bleak land filled with a blue hue. There is a thick heaviness in the air- is this the lingering regret of this fallen kingdom? I've recognize the scent before, one of a crude attempt to save what was once lost.

As the Grimmsteads head toward where Master has been summoned, I do wonder how this Ritual will turn out to be. I have a odd hunch that this one will be.....

Different.

Ghost's POV

Falling from King's Pass lead me back to Dirtmouth, landing back down and rushing over to see what I have cause by lighting the torch. What I saw was something both eerie and new- tents.

There was only 2 of them; one much smaller than another but it was interesting to look at. They looked like massive masks, and a scarlet glow came from them. I started at them while I walked by them, and quickly see two steads in front of the largest tent. They look a lot like Willoh from the Queen's Station, but they have two stripes running down through the eyes, and wore red clocks. They follow me as I walk by, their heads twisting but keeping still as I saw Elderbug not far ahead. He wasn't usually this far from the bench, but the new colorful tents may have prompted him to move over.

I ran up to him, looking up as he saw me again, "Ah, Ghost! I've seen that you've returned, but look there! Something sinister has suddenly appear," Elderbug said, point towards the mysterious tents, " Ugh, it fills me with dread, but I think it's best to ignore the feeling." I nodded my head in agreement, and seeing that he wasn't moving from his spot I thought maybe I should investigate the mysterious tents in order to help settle his nerves. I look over at the tents, but before I could take a step forward, Elderbug grabbed my cloak softly.

"Please little one, be careful. You've been here for so long, it would be a shame if you left us now." I hesitated before giving a click of understanding. I maybe not be able to talk, but I've learned through the different areas to mimic different noises that the other bugs make. Elderbug told me that many travellers before me has gone down to the Crossroads to find the kingdom, and he was surprised that I kept coming back. It felt nice having somewhere to go back where I was welcomed, so I wasn't about to leave this place.

Not yet.

He gave a soft nod, letting go of my cloak as I soon went back to the front of the tent, the strange bugs staring at me until I entered. There was some music playing once I was in, and I walked down, I see the source.

There was a taller, plumper bug playing an instrument, the melody filling the halls. I look up at the bug, and while still playing looked down at me, "Mrmm. You called us?" He said, and I gave a slight nod. the bug looked up again, "Speak to Master." I took his advice, and walked more down the strange hall, until I entered a room filled with a red mist. I was on guard, and quickly two lights circled around me. I draw my nail, prepared to fight this "Master" that the other bug mentioned to me.
