Grimm's POV
Humph. Such a strange summoner this time around; a vessel made by Wyrm. Has no voice, nothing more then a tool for whatever the Pale King needed him for, but I await to see if he would be a good tool for the Troupe's Ritual. I won't dig too deeply into the Vessel's purpose, I need to know enough for the Ritual and that's all.
As I rest up in my study and away from all the Grimmkin, I sense the Grimmchild awakening. It's been so long since we've had a challenger, and with a few shows plan out it wouldn't hurt too much to see how my child is with the small Vessel. My Troupe can handle themselves for a few moments, so as I settle down in my private room I take a look through his eyes.
Through Grimmchild's eyes, I see how the little Vessel tried to give him to another bug. I chuckled at the attempt to separate my son with the older bug as he hissed and latched onto his guardian tighter, but the vessel seemed to get the point that he can't be separated from my child that easily. Thankfully he was tucked rather snuggly in the rather poor cloak that the vessel wears. Such poor taste and so thin! I expected much better from the Summoner then this poor excuse of clothing. But maybe looks are deceiving...
The Vessel headed to a lift, clinging my son closer as the environment changed and as they headed up. Sharp crystal filled his vision as he stuck his head out, stretching out their four limbs to prepare for flight. As he climbs out, I frown as the Vessel tried to stop him, trying to put him back into the ragged cloak. Let my son explore! His strength may be weak now, but once he feeds on the flames he'll grow much stronger. Beside, he must be able to use his muscles correctly in order to grow strong, so when he takes my place he will be able to lead like me.
Dashing around, I can see the large crystal formations made up a lot of the new area that Grimmchild has just discover, and started to fly around. The Vessel drew his nail as they started to fight the Grimmkin Novice, trying to dodge the attack and dashes. Overall, I found this show quite amusing- it seems that he hasn't met a foe like this, and to see my child flutter aimlessly around them as they fight. I can feel the sense of dread that my son is feeling, but my amusement at their little dance seems to snuff out that emotion well enough.
I decide that I've seen enough, and go back to focus more on my side hobbies or I might hurt myself from laughter of the Vessel's dancing. Although the Scarlet Flame burns bright within me, I have enough freedom to indulge in other items of entertainment, and most clothing trades fascinate me. One of which was sewing, and I look at my cape. I made it myself after a few incidents after the Grimmkin didn't hold the torch upright enough and frayed my cloak.
I decide to work on a new project- a smaller cloak for my son once he has grown larger and stronger. A thought passed by that make I should make it for the Vessel instead, but I shooed it away. Helping the Vessel that way? I'd rather preform blindly. Those who summon the Troupe are required to do the Ritual without the aid of us. It would make us look desperate, unprofessional.
And appearance is everything here. We can't have things sticking out; there is a order and theme we have that cannot falter. As I lay out the fabrics and get a template, I hear Brumm calling out, "Mrmm... Master? May I have a word with you?"
I get up, straightening my cloak as I see one of my loyalest Troupe members waiting and looking up. "Ah, if is is not our musician! Why do you request my presence?"
