Children and Father finish cleaning half of the living room, mother gets a quarter of the stuffing ready. She then pulls out the giblets of the turkey, readying if for the stuffing, then, after preparing it for its stuffing, she continues frantically chopping, while Father gets dressed for his day ahead, in a collared shirt, khakis, and tie, jamming Steve into the same and Anne into a purple dress.

Mother is halfway done with the stuffing for the turkey, and realises there is no pumpkin pie. 'H-----!' she yells, referring to Father, 'Can you run and get pumpkin pie from the store?! And some of those rolls?!'
'Yes dear,' Father replies, dragging the kids along for the trip.

Father and the children return from the store, Father having also got two bottles of wine and three cases of beer, all for the relatives, of course. Mother finishes three quarters of the stuffing.
