After arriving inside, the children explain what happened and Uncle James shouts at his kids for being such jerks, then sincerely apologises to his relatives for their behaviour, then tells then to apologise to Anne and Steve. When that is done, he helps Steve nurse his bleeding lip and nose, along with the cut above his eyebrow.

A lunch of grilled cheese sandwiches, mandarins, and soda is served, and the Cousins sincerely apologise to Anne, promising to play Clue with her later. Uncle James is brought his first beer and says, 'Thanks a bunch, big brother,' to Father before taking a huge swig.

Lunch is finished, and the turkey is placed in the oven, allowing Mother to finally take a rest from the kitchen, she collapses into a chair and watches the football pregame.
