You don't know me yet, but you are about too. I'm Katherine Pierce, a normal girl who has a rich mommy and daddy that stay together until daddy cheats and gets a divorce like every married family. It was hard for mom, but she is strong and doesn't focus on it. My mom works for the biggest magazine company, but the only problem is she is barely home. We lived almost around the world, but we're now living in London. Mom thinks we are going to live here. It's only me, my brother, and my mom. We have each other. My brother's name is Jack Pierce, he is the older one. Luckily he isn't an annoying brother, he is very caring and is always making sure I'm okay. Our father we don't see anymore, we don't want to talk to him or his new family. We left all our stuff back in New York because mom bought new stuff for us.

We moved into the house a week ago and today is the first day of school, also my birthday. I'm now 17, I honestly don't like my birthday and I act like it's just a normal day. I got ready and woke up Jack. I went searching the house looking for mom and she had already left for work. I went to the kitchen to eat breakfast before I headed out, but something caught my eye on top of the counter. It was a piece of paper. Dear kids,

I had to come in early. Katherine, sorry I can't be there for your birthday. I will be out for 2years. Instead of moving everywhere...I will be moving you guys old enough to keep the house in check. Kate, there's an adventure waiting for you, but first, you need to start it. I love you guys so much. And Jack can skip school to get the rest of the stuff out of the boxes. Love you guys, I will miss you guys.

Love, Mom

Mom knows that I love adventures so much. I searched all over the kitchen to find keys, I thought what the heck will I need keys for... then it hit me. I quickly ran outside to see the 2018 Honda Civic Type R, the most beautiful car with a huge bow on it. I was in shock. Jack came outside smiling hard.

"Did you know about this Jack?"

"Maybe... Happy Birthday, sis!'

I hugged him so hard, I ran to the car to start it up. I looked at the time we saw we had to go.

"Omg.. uhh...I gotta go ...oh mom said you can stay home and do the last boxes."

"Ok well, I guess I'm staying home and good luck at school. Happy Birthday!"

I quickly hugged him and drove off. I loved my car and outfit. I was wearing a cute crop top with ripped jeans and black vans. My hair was straightened, the car windows were tinted so no one could see me. I pulled into the school parking lot, and I was getting looks and I hadn't even stepped out of the car yet. I parked and came out of the car. I was immediately getting stared at. I looked at everyone and walked straight towards the entrance. People were curious about who I am. I walked with confidence and strength. As I was walking to my class everyone was staring and didn't step in front of me, as they all stood against the lockers. I walked to my first class and stood quiet, I sat down and waited for the day to be over. I went through the whole day getting stared at and talked about. It was time to go home as I was walking to my car and something caught my eye. A boy who was leaning in my car while talking to his friends immediately went to him.

"Do you know whose car this is?"

"No, but they must go lots of money to have this car"

"That's my car that you are on, so can you please get off of it"

"Oh, I'm sorry. Hey you should come to a party that's at the riverside park"

I looked at him with a face that I'm not interested in, so he got off and walked away. I hopped in the car and drove off. I got home and saw there was a note...

Hey Sis,

Sorry, I'm not home at the moment, but I left with a couple of kids from the new school who wanted me to know the stuff they are learning. So I had left about $50 on the table so you could order out. And I hope you had a good day at school! Love you, sis.
