"Jac', you coming?" I looked at Taylor, not sure what to do. I didn't think I wanted to skip class today.

"I'm not. Go without me." He stared at me, eyes wide like I'd just said something insane.

"Are you serious?! You're joking, right?" I just shrugged. He raised an eyebrow, clearly confused.

To be honest, I got his reaction. I'm usually the one convincing him to skip. But today? Nah.

"Dude! I swear you're taking this too far!" I ignored him and turned to walk toward class.

"Don't know what you're talking about," I said, raising my hands in mock innocence.

"You know exactly what I'm talking about! This stupid bet is not worth all that!" he shouted behind me.

"Yeah, it's only worth 'Nes's BMW S1000RR, that's all." He fell silent. A second later, he appeared in front of me, mouth half open.

"You mean the yellow one?!" I nodded.

"Dude... seriously..." he sighed, clearly annoyed.

"What?"

"What the fuck is going on in your mind? You bet the virginity of a nerd for a sportbike?"
He glared. I shrugged. He summarized it pretty well.

"Well, at first I wasn't serious about this shit, but then she told me that in her country, men pay twenty million to marry a virgin. Twenty million for a virgin vagina. That's fucking great! And guess what's also worth twenty million?" He rolled his eyes, pulling out a cigarette.

"Not your virgin dick, that's for sure." I glared as he blew smoke in my face.

"Get out of here with your fucking smoke. I've got business to do." I waved the smoke away and shoved past him.

"You'll let me ride it once you seal the deal?" he yelled after me. I raised a middle finger without looking back.

When I got to class, I pushed the door open abruptly. As expected, she was there, sitting in the corner. She didn't even flinch at the creaky door. Too into her book.

Dead silence. Just her and me. She didn't look up, didn't react. I stood there like an idiot, staring. Why the hell have I never noticed this girl?

Red hair in a high ponytail. Oversized dark glasses. Same as last time.

I stepped closer, quietly, so I wouldn't startle her.

"Hey!" She looked up, startled, gave me a quick glance, then dropped her eyes again. I'm not gonna eat you, nerdy.

"H...Hi." Still focused on her book, fiddling with her hands. Awkward as hell.

I usually know how to handle girls, even the shy ones. A smile, a few nice words, and boom. They melt. Sometimes just standing near me is enough.

But this one? She didn't look interested. It almost felt like she wanted me to leave.

Not giving up that easily, I grabbed a chair and sat beside her.

"So what are you reading?" She glanced at me, surprised, it seemed, and looked a little longer this time.

"I... I didn't know you were into literature." I shrugged and smiled.

"It's not literature that interests me... It's you." I gave her a playful smirk. She blinked, cheeks turning red, and stood so fast she dropped her book.

"Excuse me!" We both leaned to grab the book, hands brushing lightly. Her glasses slipped to the floor. She raised her head—we were close. Inches.
