"Come on, Layla! You said this was meant to be enjoyable," Mollie exclaimed, "We're just stuck in this motel room because it's raining."
"Well, what are we meant to do?" Layla questioned, "We can't go to what was planned as they closed because of the rain."
"I don't know," Mollie sighed, "Just anywhere. Even a drive around won't hurt."
"I don't know," Layla mumbled.
"Come on, babe," Jackson spoke up, "One drive won't hurt."
Layla didn't comment, she only looked up at him in pure admiration. He was a peacekeeper, no matter what the situation is he will always try to solve it. She looked over at Mollie, his sister, and sighed, "Fine. But I'm not driving."
"I will don't worry," Jackson smiled at his girlfriend, anyone could see he was over heels for her.
The couple always seemed to make people jealous. Guys would look over at Jackson from jealousy once they see Layla with him. It was the same with Layla, girls would look at Layla with jealousy once they see her with Jackson. However, they'd also look at the couple in envy just wishing to be like them or to have someone like them in their life. One of these people was Mollie, his own sister, and her own best friend. Mollie wanted someone like that in her life, she had Jackson as he treated her like she was a princess but he was gone now, according to her, he had Layla.
The drive around was silent, they sat there listening to the radio and soft patters of rain on the windows.
Mollie spoke up, "Can we go fast along this road? I mean there are no cars about."
"If you want to, I mean-" Jackson was interrupted by Layla as she exclaimed from the back, "No! I don't want to die. The roads are slippy, what if a car comes around the corner?"
"Oh come on, Layla. My brother is a great driver, we'll be fine. And for a car to come around the bend that tight, they'd have to slow down a great deal."
The siblings didn't wait for confirmation from the girl in the back as they just wanted to get the most from this trip, even if it meant breaking rules and being reckless.
Car engine roars could be heard for miles as the car got faster and faster down the road. Although, Layla's assumptions were right.
Just as another car was turning around the bend, them too going at a fast pace, Jackson lost control of his car because the tyres were slipping on the road. He tried to stop and so did the other driver but they were too late. In an amount of a few seconds, they crashed head-on.
The other driver survived without terrible injuries, so they called an ambulance and got out of there. They didn't want the police to deal with them. The trio, on the other hand, wasn't so lucky.
Layla didn't know at the time, because she was unconscious, but she was the only survivor.
