Right thing to Do

Wow it's been months. I'll be honest, I completely forgot about this story! But it's back. The ending of this story is coming close.

"Hey Rina, today's the 21st right?" Pearl asked as she messed with Vian on the couch.

"Hmm" Marina hummed as she opened up her calendar on her phone. "Yup." She replied.

"We have a day off AND it's Vian's birthday!" Pearl exclaimed as she squeezes the little guy, who squeals. Marina smiled and went over to the two. "I almost forgot about that. We should do something for him."

Pearl hops on her phone and types away, doing cod knows what. Marina scoops the small inkling, who squeals in delight. The DJ gently tickled the inkling before giving him a kiss on the forehead. Then she hugged the baby.

Pearl watched with a smile and quickly snapped a picture of the two.

Marina heard the snapshot and looked up to find the inkling smiling. "Always taking pictures, Pearlie." Marina said with a giggle.

"Well yeah! I gotta keep the memory alive." Pearl rolled her eyes.

"Hey..." Marina faintly blushed as she got an idea. Pearl raised an eyebrow. The Octoling motioned the Inkling to come closer.

The rapper shuffled close and was about to ask what's up when she felt something warm and soft aganist her cheek.

Marina quickly pulled away as her leg began to bounce. Her nervousness was really kicking in. Vian was laughing as his small body was softly bouncing with the peg's movement.

Pearl blinked as she took in this moment. Her face slowly turns red as she realizes it was Marina's plum lips that were just pressed onto her face.

Marina chuckles nervously before standing up with Vian. Her tentacles were curling and swaying frantically. "IbettergetViandressed!" She said rapidly before taking off.

Pearl didn't even understand what she was saying.

She presses her hand to her cheek before grinning. Her eyes were shining with joy.

Marina had just finished dressing Vian.

"Oh why did I do that....I probably weirded her out. Come on Ida... Put your feelings aside." She scolded herself as she sat on the bed. She took in deep breaths to calm her hearts down.

Vian looks at his temporary guardian and hums. The noise caught Marina's attention. "What are you humming there? A song?"

"M...P..." Vian tried to say. Marina gasped and leaned closer. "Vian?"

The baby inkling stopped humming and had a small pout. Marina sighed and leaned back. "Almost there."

"Yo Reena? Let's head out today!" Pearl shouted from her closed door.

Marina picked up Vian and quickly walked out her room and met Pearl in the living room. The inkling was typing away at her phone. Marina felt her face warm up at the sight of her before mentally slapping herself. Not the time to be gay!

"Wahoo World?" Marina asked.

"Wahoo World!" Pearl cheered.

They had a blast! The idols took Vian to many rides that he was able to go on and it warmed their hearts to see him laugh and squeal of joy.

The three then went to get some ice cream and made their way back home.

By the time they walked out the door, Vian's eyes were half opened as he held a small smile on his face.
