Chapter 13: Tricks and Habits

"Ahh finally, we're home!" Pearl said, taking off her shoes and flopped herself onto the couch.

The Octoling removed Vian from his carrier and set him down on the play mat that they had bought a while back.

Marina sat on the couch, frowning as she stared out the window.

"Ay 'Rina. Ya think we can ask for a vacation?" Pearl asked the Octoling. It's been a good while since they had one and Squidmas was coming up. It would be the perfect time to hang out with her family.

When she was given no response, Pearl lifted her head and looked at the DJ. Marina was lost in her own little world.

Pearl was about to snap her out of it but then she had an idea. The rapper placed her crown on the floor, along with her phone.

She went over to one of her empty cabinets and crawled inside it. She left it slightly opened so she can watch the scene unfold.

(Yes this smol rapper can fit in this cabinet :))

Took about 3 minutes for Marina to snap out of it and she looked around.

"Pearlie?" She called out as she stands up. Vian was asleep on his play mat, after getting bored of his toy car. Marina picked up the sleeping inkling and went to go place him in his crib.

Moments later, she comes out again with a frown in her face. "Pearlie! Come on, this isn't funny!"

Pearl watched as Marina looks down at her belongings. The tall idol grabs both items and runs around the place, trying to find Pearl.

"Pearl! Pearlie! Oh Zapfish!" Marina was almost in tears at this point, thinking something happened to the rapper while she was zoned out.

Now I feel kinda bad now...Pearl decided to come out so her friend doesn't burst to tears.

She waited until Marina was closer towards her location, before pouncing on the Octoling.

What surprised her was instead of Marina hitting the floor, it was Pearl who did.

Marina was on top of her with her arm across her pale neck and her knee pressed against her small form.

"M-Marina it's me!!!!" Pearl shrieked.

Took Marina a full 3 seconds to see it really was her partner. Her eyes widen as she releases the inkling and pulls her into a bear hug as they lay on the floor.

"Oh my cod Pearlie! I'm so sorry! I didn't bruise you did I?" Marina panicked, checking over her companion. Her teal eyes became teary.

"I-I'm fine 'Rina!" Pearl said, trying to catch the breath she lost during that impact. "D-Damn girl! You judo flipped the hell out of me!"

"I'm so sorry! It's just you snuck up on me and combat training in the forces doesn't just disappear in a few years." Marina said, nuzzling her face into he rapper's neck. "I-I thought something happened to you and an intruder had came in!"

Pearl felt her ears heat up as both idol's bodies were so close together. "N-Nah that wouldn't happen. Y-You would of heard me yelling and junk."

"I know but I was just so worried!" Marina couldn't help but place small kisses on the rapper's cheek which almost caused Pearl to pass out.

The DJ pulled back and looked at the red inkling. "Pearlie? Are you okay?"

"M'fine" Pearl said quickly.

Marina was about to question further but then she realize just how close the two were at that moment and blushed bright teal.

Despite wanting to pull away, they found themselves staring into one another's eyes. Teal meets Gold as they lean closer to one another.

A-Are we really about to...

Pearl closed her eyes and just as their lips were about to touch, someone began knocking loudly, which caused Marina to jump away from Pearl in surprise.

"Ladies! Are you here?! We're going live in a 10 minutes!" Shouted on of the members.

Pearl had many many questions now. One of them being, how the hell did they find her house?!

The other one, she felt that she would be getting an answer very soon.

Marina cleared her throat as she opened the door. "W-We'll be there as soon as we can!"

Pearl hasn't gotten up from her postion as she watches Marina head to her bedroom to get ready.

What the hell just happened...
