Eight

Mia sat on the bed and held the pregnancy test. She was scared. Her period was late and she was beginning to think she was pregnant. She couldn't handle it.

Warren walked in and saw her with the test. "Babe? Are you?" He asked.

"I don't know. I haven't taken it yet. Haven't got the courage too," she mumbled.

Warren nodded and sat down with her. "We need to know. I'm not trying to pressure you. But if there is a baby. We need to know," he said.

"I know. I'm just scared. I've never been in this position before and it's worrying me," Mia admitted.

"It'll be fine babe. It always is. I'm not going anywhere," Warren said.

Mia nodded and sighed. "What do we do if I am? How do we go about this?"

"Take the test. Then we'll know babe."

Mia came out the bathroom and sighed. She looked at Warren. "It's positive."

"Really?"

Mia nodded and handed him the rest. She sat down next to him. "You're gonna be a dad."

Warren looked at Mia and sighed. "Do you wanna keep it?" He asked.

"I think I do. I'm terrified though. I have to tell my family," Mia mumbled.

Warren stood up and pulled her up. He wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed her. "It'll be okay. No matter what they throw at us, everything will be okay."

"Really?"

"Course. Have I let you down?"

Mia went to meet up with Layla. Layla smiled when she saw her sister. "How's my favourite sibling?" She asked.

"I'm pregnant."

Layla was shocked. She looked at Mia. "Are you serious? Like really serious?"

Mia nodded. "I took the test earlier and it came back negative. Warren was there with me," she told her older sister. She felt the tears sting her cheeks. "What am I going to do?"

Layla could see how scared Mia was and she sighed. She knew it was hard for her. "It'll be okay. It always is. You have Warren and you have me. Mum will be okay. She's having a grandbaby."

"Shes going to kill me. I can't handle this. I told Warren I wanted to keep it. But I really don't know," Mia admitted.

Layla sighed. Mia's phone went off signalling a text. She read it and felt her heart break. She handed her phone to Layla who read the text:

I'm sorry babe. The police are after me for something I didn't do. I had to run. I'm sorry - Warren x

Layla was shocked. She saw how Mia was heartbroken. She took her hand. "It's gonna be okay. I promise."

Mia and Layla went back to the Roscoe house. Sandy was confused when she saw her youngest daughter crying. She looked at her. "What happened?"

"I'm pregnant. Warren left and I don't know what to do," she sobbed.

Sandy frowned. She pulled Mia into a hug and held her as she cried. She missed the looks that Joe and Freddie were giving each other.

Layla saw everything. She knew they had something to do with Warren going. But could she find out and bring him back for Mia?
