Mount Blackburn was said to be the most silent peak, full of harsh wilderness and dangerous beast. This was because the peak was always surrounded by hail clouds at the top, the only thing was that it never hailed there. But the spooky picture was enough to keep the people away.

People thought nobody would dare to reside at such an eerie place and they were right. Apart from two people nobody lived there.

"GET UP JADE!" a young boy shouted to the sleeping figure, who jumped from the bed hearing his voice.

"Good morning Master Hïuè," she said while standing in attention.

"We are late for the training, how many times have I told you to be ready in the morning before I come" Master Hïuè scolded the girl.

"Sorry master, I was practicing till late night"

"What were you practicing that made you miss your sleep"

"I was practicing attacking the enemy, you told me to make my attacking skills stronger."

"We will see how much you have practiced your attacking skill, go and get ready for the training."

Jade quickly went out of the house shutting the wooden door behind her.

She went past the open ground to the wooden room that was ahead. She had lied about practicing late in the night and was glad that she wasn't caught.

Entering the room she changed into the practicing clothes and then made her way towards the open ground that was their training area. Reaching there she stood in attention at the middle knowing that the Master will take his time.

Standing there she started gazing around, her eyes went to the wooden dorm where she slept,  the wooden hut was not painted. The roof too was wood and there was just an opening for the windows which had no doors and curtains to close it. During winter nights, gale would blow from the window. From there, her eyes went to the wooden room where she had changed. This was their storage room where they stored their food, weapons, and training materials. This was similar to the room where she slept, only the window was absent.

She looked around at the ground which was marked with red boundaries, which served the purpose of highlighting the fighting area.

There were several of these boundaries, each for a different style of practice.

She was wondering about how long she has seen this same scenario when a soft whistle from behind made her come to sense.

Turning she saw Master Hïuè standing in his carefree way.

"Let's see how hard you've been practicing your attacks." saying this he took the position.

Not knowing what to do Jade too took the position and they started fighting. Master Hïuè started firing out punches with power and accuracy but Jade was able to defend all of them with ease. The only thing was that she was not able to attack.

The Master stopped  facing her "You lied to me about training to increase your attacking skill, didn't you?"

The Master stopped  facing her "You lied to me about training to increase your attacking skill, didn't you?"

Jade didn't know what to say, so she tried to reason "But, master you know that I am good at defense not at attacks"

"This is no reason for you to give excuses and bunk the practice"

"You have to understand......." Jade started to say but Master Hïuè didn't let her complete.

"I won't hear any more, I have decided that you will be punished for lying and not practicing, is it understood."

Jade knew that arguing now is futile so she just nodded her head.
