"Wait WHAT!? You're in love with MY 19 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER! DAMN IT HADES I'M GOING TO FUCKING KILL YOU WHEN THIS BLOWS OVER!" Demeter screams at Hades with a harsh looking face. Hades however, refuses to make eye contact with her.
"I'm fully aware of what you're feeling right now but it needed to be said and I said it. Persephone already told me that she too has feelings for me but I just didn't think it was the right time to tell her how I felt" Hades says sternly. Demeter rolls her eyes in disbelief.
"Why? Why!? WHY DID IT NEED TO BE SAID! Give me one good reason!" Demeter screeches, sending an echo throughout the mortal realm.
"Because I had a vision ok. Well maybe not a vision. More like a dream but you get the idea." Hades says, and finally makes eye contact with Demeter.
"What kind of vision?" she asks sarcastically.
"Well, me and Persephone were happily married." Hades says and smiles as he recalls his dream. Demeter scoffs at his words but remains calm.
"We had two children and we were all smiling like a real family" Hades says.
"I thought you were infertile..." Demeter mumbles and looks up at Hades grieving face.
"That is correct... but she's a fertility—"
"Don't finish that sentence! Do not say those words!" Demeter scolds.
"Demeter, you can't hide Persephone's true power anymore. Soon she'll be stronger than you"
"I know but—"
"No. There are no buts. You have to accept it. Besides, she already figured it out" Hades says and keeps his composure.
"Is it really that obvious..." Demeter sighs.
"I figured it out when she first started working in the Underworld"
"Ugh this is not how I wanted her to find out. I was gonna bake her cookies and tell her about it"
"Well it's too late now" Hades replies.
"No shit Sherlock." Demeter scoffs.
"Anyways, the point is that I love Persephone and I'm pretty sure she feels the same way. However, I'm probably one of the reasons she ran away because I'm with Minthe...well... I was with Minthe"
"Wait! You broke up with her?" Demeter says sympathetically.
"Look Demeter. I don't know if my vision is something that will come true, but I don't wanna think that it won't happen. Minthe didn't want to be in the royal family. She didn't want to be seen with me. She didn't even want a family. I gave her so much and I got nothing in return. I just realized that I would be happier with someone that wants the same things I do" Hades says and glances into Demeter dark purple eyes.
Demeter grabs Hades' hand and holds it tightly. "Alright. You have my blessing, but first we need to find her." Hades smiles and nods proudly.
"Where was her last known location?" he says.
"Artemis said she saw her running towards Solarstream Station"
"So she's probably here, in the mortal realm somewhere...where is her favorite place to hide here?"
"Oh my god! I'm so stupid!" Demeter exclaims.
"What is it?"
"When Persephone was young, she always wanted to travel alone to the forests past the Pompeii mountain. If she's anywhere in the mortal realm, that's where she'll be"
Hades looks down at his shiny watch that Persephone gave him last week. Wow it's already 5:30pm. I hope we find her before the sun goes down, Hades thinks.
"Alright. Let's go" Hades says confidently.
Demeter nods and leads the way along the path as the sun slowly starts to set.
