i have walked thousands of mile
in my lifetime
i have taken roads
that lead me to places
i never imagined reaching
i have been to the edge of a cliff
barely holding myself still
with strong winds blowing
and i have chosen roads
that lead to a dead end
and yet i walked –
still walking
searching for places to be
trusting instincs
rather than the map i have
to lead me to that place
i longed to be.
