Where Is It?

frozen by the winds brought by the north
burnt from where my skin touched the ice
forever wandering in this dismal solitude
waiting for the blizzard that carried my heart

i stood from the tip of the earth
    where the sun never sets
but now it hasn’t reached me
since that time that you left

white had always been what i saw
draped over the wondrous seas
now white is what i will never witness
not since the storm that broke me

i stand from the tip of the earth
and the sun still hasn’t set
i fear it will never reach me
never again now that you left

carried by the winds of the north
like snow i’d touch the ice
traveling this dismal solitude
searching for the blizzard that has my heart
