"You're so fat",

"You're so ugly",

"You Cow!".

Those were the majority of the comments on my vacation pictures on facebook. Maybe I shouldn't have worn the bikini. I didn't look fat at the time. Tears made my vision blurry and I closed my laptop. I took a deep breath. I shouldn't let those mean girls get to me. I turned my light off and closed my eyes. I needed to get some sleep. Tomorrow was the first day of my junior year in high school.

~~~~~~
"Avery! Get up sweetie! You have to go to school!" my mom shouted up the stairs. I groaned and sat up wiping the sleep from my eyes. I made my way to the bathroom and took a shower. I then got dressed in my first day of school outfit: Flowy, floral print skirt that was about two inches from my knee, tank top with small riffles on the side tucked into the skirt. I combed my hair and let it dry naturally. It was wavy so I didn't need to blow dry it. I also didn't feel the need to straighten it. It went down a little past my elbows and was a light brown. I applied some eyeshadow and mascara and a little dab of lip gloss. I looked in the mirror satisfied with my work and made my way down stairs.
"Good morning." I said cheerily to my mom, brother, and sister. My father hasn't been around since I can remeber.
"Morning Aves." my sister, Kayden said to me. She was a junior in college and looked just like me and my mom exept her hair was curly, but she straightened it all the time.
My brother just grunted in response. As you can tell, he is the most social person in the family. Hint my sarcasm. He was a senior in high school. He thought he was a lot cooler than he actually was. He looked like the rest of us exept he had dark brown almost black hair. I rolled my eyes at him and went to the counter to get some pancakes. Instead of my usual three pancakes I took one. The comments form last night still floated around in my head. My mom looked at my plate questioningly. I shrugged and took a seat at the breakfeast bar. I ate my pancake quickly and grabbed my bag.
"You are driving me to school, right Dustin?" I asked my bother.
"No." he said giving me an are-you-kidding-me look.
"Mom, can you tell Dustin that he needs to drive me to school. I can't take the bus!"
"Dustin, come on, you can drive your baby sister to school." my mom said. My brother gave me a death stare and stormed outside to the car. I gave my mom a grin and waltzed after him.
I got in the car and we drove to school. I said goodbye to my brother and made my way inside looking for my friends. I spotted them at our usual spot by the tree.
"Heeeeeeeey!" I called to them. They turned and grinned at me.
"Hola Chica!" yelled my bff Gracelynn.
"Wassup girly!" hollerd Aimee.
"Avery wavery!" Gina yelled lastly. I looked around.
"Where is Patricia?" I asked. Gracelynn's face clouded over.
"That bitch didn't say a word to us all summer and now look who she is hanging out with!" I looked to where she was pointing. My mouth fell open.
"SHE IS HANGING OUT WITH HER!!" I screached. Patricia was hanging out with the school slut Tracey Parer. Last year Patricia hated her. With a capital H. "WHY?"
"Your guess is just as good as mine, Aves." I looked over and saw Patricia looking over and me. She turned away and laughed. What the hell? The bell rang and I decided to ignore it. I made my way to first period. None of my friends were in it so I walked by myself. I was almost there when I was stopped by Patricia.
"Hey Trish." I greeted her. She sneered at me.
"Why are you talking to me?"
"Because your my friend."
"Please like I would be friends with a fat cow like you." Her words were like a slap to my face. I stood there dumbfounded as she walked away.
