Uhh.. Hey ya'll.. So been a while again huh? I'm so sorry I went back on my word about having a decent upload schedule. You would think with this whole quarantine thing chapters would be given out like presents on Christmas. Turns out my sorry-self likes to procrastinate way too much. Almost as much as our lazy king does, heh. Ya'll are probably used to it by now but that just says that I suck at committing so I'm sorry. By the way, thank you for 700+ reads! I never thought I would reach that number and it just shows me that you guys really are amazing. Anyways, as usual, enjoy the chapter and wash your hands! :)

[𝐘/𝐍'𝐬 𝐏𝐎𝐕]
It was a nice Sunday afternoon, and only a day away from a new week. Christmas break had finally passed and the days have moved by since. My friendship with Fresh and his pals has grown quite a bit. So much so, that we've been visiting each others houses. Sadly, the same can't be said for PJ and Undyne, those guys still hated my guts for getting them in trouble. They did everything in their power to make every task just a tad bit harder. Be it tripping me or smacking my lunch out of my hands. It was getting tiresome, honestly.
Faith has been visiting me ever since she and Ms. Laura dropped me off my house after Christmas. It felt really nice to have someone come to my house just to see how I'm doing. Sometimes though, it seems like she comes to visit just to make Orion a little fatter than he already was. Dang, that dog needs to do some exercise soon. I guess he gets it from me.
I've been running low on money recently. Luckily, whenever Faith visits, she brings a few treats made by Ms. Laura for me. That woman is a literal angel. She just doesn't know when to stop giving, and she's amazing like that. I've been looking for a job recently since the bills are almost due and I really don't want to have crappy electricity right now. So far, I've been rejected by most restaurants and cafes. Who can blame them though, I suck at talking to strangers and doing that twenty-four seven would kill me emotionally. I didn't wanna end up working my ass off on a job that I didn't like, painfully-smiling at customers while I get no recognition for the work I've done and later talk about my failures and unachieved dream of being an actor to a literal eight year old. Nobody wants that.
After that thought, I was starting to feel a little down-hearted so I went to Henry's bakery to get me feeling a little bit better about myself. I entered the establishment and heard the familiar ding of a bell. I've been coming here more often ever since Henry gave me his wise words. Once I entered, I could see Henry cater to the customers in front of the register before he saw me and waved, a fond smile plastered on his face. I smiled and waved back.
He continued to entertain his patrons as I walk to my usual spot in the cozy bakery. Luckily, it was unoccupied so I went up and happily sat down. I snuggled myself into the well-worn but incredibly comfortable seat. I can see why the bakery is such a hit, though it seems like it's always slow when I'm here. It doesn't really bother me much since I'm not one to socialize much and it's nice to have a place all to yourself with your friends there to keep you company. I just closed my eyes and sat there for a while, letting the moment happen. But.. that wasn't the plan for someone else.
"HI, Y/N!" A feminine voice shouted in my ear, eyes cracking open as my heart beats a million miles per hour. Did I forget to mention my really loud squeak?
I gazed towards the person who may or may not have made me deaf to see Mia standing there, the eyes of her mask portraying an amused, mischievous look. She was wearing their signature eggnog-colored apron, the bakery name and logo printed white. The Muffin Man, Henry had named it.
"O-oh jeez, it's just you Mia. H-hey." I said, still slightly shaken up.
She laughed at the look on my face, the translucent horns that floated above her head bounced along with every laugh. I rolled my eyes, a playful smile rested on my lips. No matter how hard I try, she always finds a way to startle to me.
