I groaned when I heard the sound of my alarm clock going off. I clasped it in my hand and threw it with as much force as possible to the wall where I heard its glass shatter. I was in the process of relaxing back to sleep when the door burst open and my mother stomped in.

"What was that sound?" she asked startled.

I sleepily pointed at the alarm clock sprawled over the floor. My mother let out a frustrated sigh.

"This is the fourth alarm clock you've broken this month!"

I fought the urge to open my eyes and roll them just to irk her. "I don't get why you keep buying them for me when you know the outcome," I said lazily.

My mom had enough with my stalling at that point and just walked over to me and rolled over the mattress making me fall on the floor with a thump.

"Ouch!" I shrieked in pain as I rubbed my behind. My mother shrugged before giving me the stink eye.

"Get up. You have school today."

I rolled my eyes before I slowly got up and went to the bathroom to shower and brush my teeth. Not long after, I was done and dressed in my school uniform which consisted of a black blazer jacket, white button up shirt and a black skirt that went up to my knees.

With no time to spare, I grabbed a granola bar and rushed out of the house with my mom yelling behind me for waking up late and taking too long to shower for me to be able to gulp down a proper breakfast.

5 minutes into my walk, I realized that I forgot to grab my backpack and had to head back home to bring it. Needless to say, I'm surprised my mom didn't make me thanksgiving's main meal for dinner yet.

Another 5 minutes into my walk, I realized that I was already late so why not take my time? I casually walked when I saw a cat crossing a street filled with honking cars.

Had it been a human I would've probably left it to die. But no, it was a cute, little innocent cat and before I could stop myself, I found my legs running towards the rescue of the small naive cat that thought it would come out of crossing a car-filled street alive. I managed to grab a hold of the cat before it was ran over and let out a sigh of relief. However, I froze in my place when I saw cars speeding over from all directions. Cars were honking and people on the sidewalk were yelling for me to get out of the way.

"Thank you, oh-so-genius people! It never crossed my mind to get out of the way!" I grumbled sarcastically as I saw a car speeding up in my lane. I shut my eyes tight and waited for the impact.

and all I saw was black.

That's because your eyes are still closed, I heard my conscience say.

I slowly opened my eyes and saw all the cars around me floating with a certain not-so-hero smirking in front of me with his arms crossed.

"What.the.hell." I blurted out in shock. The cat in my arms immediately jumped out of my reach and into Havoc's.

"Hey! I almost died because of you and that's how you thank me?" I exclaimed at the cat in frustration.

The villain chuckled before carrying me, flying high and letting all the cars down without even touching them.

"Let go of me!" I yelled.

He raised a mocking eyebrow. "Should I? It's sort of tempting, to be honest. I always wanted to try doing that to someone from up here and now is the perfect opportunity-"

"Hold up there bud, I always wanted a peaceful death but I don't think falling from 6 miles above the ground is considered that in the least bit."

His shoulders slumped. "Aw man. It's going to be fun at least," he tried to convince me. I found myself considering it before I shook my head.

"No."

We flew for a couple of minutes before I found myself in front of my school.

"Are you kidding me? I almost died and you bring me back to school? How evil can one be!" I complained.

"I'm a villain, what do you expect?" he retorted.

I smirked, "you saved me."

"I'm a good villain," he said again.

"You didn't even touch the cars. Telekinetic powers?" I asked intrigued. He was never publicly seen using his powers so no one was able to pinpoint what it is that he can do. However, I just witnessed him doing something first-hand and it was quite clear what methods he used.

"You can say that," he shrugged.

My smirk widened. "So it is. Interesting."

"You know what else is interesting?" he asked. I shrugged.

"I'm supposed to be heading to class now so good bye," I saluted.

"Come on. You're supposed to ask me what else is interesting."

I sighed. "Tomorrow, okay? I'm late," I said as I turned around and started walking to class.

"Fate clearly ships us!" he yelled from behind me. I turned around to give him a questioning glance when I saw that he had vanished into thin air.
