The day went by in a blur and before I knew it, I was lying on my bed with my eyes fluttered close. I felt my tired self drifting into a well-deserved dreamland when I heard someone knocking on the window that leads to my balcony.

"Are you kidding me?" I grumbled in frustration before I pulled my blanket further above my head and attempted to shut the world out. The knocking intensified.

"Either you open the door or I break in. Actually, I can easily walk through the door but I wanted to ensure that I'm not invading your privacy."

"You are invading my sleep," I grunted.

"May I come in?"

"Do I have a choice?"

Not even a second later, I saw him leaning against one of the walls in my room.

Finally, I sighed and sat up in bed. "So, what brings you here at this time of the day?"

"It's only 10 pm," he pointed out.

"And this girl," I pointed at myself, "has to wake up at 6 in the morning."

Havoc chuckled.

We sat in silence for a couple of minutes- which was weird because he seeked me out yet didn't know how to strike up a conversation.

"So," I started off, "why were you at my school today?"

Havoc shrugged. "It's been a while since I stirred up some trouble."

"and you chose my school because?" I asked.

He didn't do anything that bad. If anything he saved me from the 2 next torturous hours of Calculus. He set off a fire in the chemistry lab and engraved the words "do you feel the sparks too? We got that chemistry, baby!!!" along with his signature H which I knew would make it to the headlines in the next morning.

"It just seemed convenient. Why do you care, anyway? Last I checked you weren't a big fan of school."

"No one is," I deadpanned. Havoc paused for a second before nodding in agreement.

Havoc then rubbed the nape of his neck before saying,

"I just wanted to ask about.. how you're doing after the-almost-accident," he uttered.

He came all the way here to ask about how I'm feeling?

I furrowed my eyebrows. "I'm okay. Though I'd probably be busy watching you from hell if not for you stepping in on time," I joked. Havoc's lip crooked up a bit.

"It was a close call."

"But really, I am okay. Look at me, in perfect shape and health all thanks to you," I looked at him gratefully for the first time since we encountered each other.

We stared at each other silently for the next couple of minutes before he stood straight.

"You seem like so much trouble," he commented after clearing his throat.

I rolled my eyes. He's starting to sound like my mom.

"You sure you're not my mom?" I gasped at the realization. I have no idea who Havoc is. Obviously he's a normal human that might have passed by me before. Well, as normal as one with superpowers can be but you get my point.

He scoffed. "Does my frame look like that of a woman?"

I ran my eyes over his lean but muscular body before I gulped.

"Nope, definitely not my mother."

I could feel my cheeks begin to heat up so I started moving my hand back and forth in the motion of a fan. "It's kinda hot isn't it?" I got up to open the window to let some cool air in but he beat me to it.

"Too slow," he winked. I could see that he was holding back his laugh at my sudden awkwardness.

I cleared my throat and surfed through my brain for a change of subject but couldn't find anything. I could see with my peripheral vision that he was staring at me in curiosity and amusement at the same time.

"Quit looking at me like I'm some monkey at the zoo.." I grumbled.

He cackled. "Then stop acting like one. Anyways," he made the motion of looking at his wrist which lacked a watch. "It's getting late. I guess I'm done with my mission. Good night," he said before winking and disappearing. My gaze lingered on where he once stood before I shook my head and lied back down.

That piece of shit ruined my sleep and left.
