You nodded and finally stuck your hand out too Dean. He grabbed it and shook, but then stopped. His eyes widened and he put his other hand around his mouth in shock.
You were frightened at first, but then you looked down at your hands. It was there.

it was there! attached to his finger and connected it with yours! You were frightened at first, but then before you could say anything. You were pulled into a large, comforting hug.He smelled of a large apple orchard, especially in the fall when the apples finally were picked. It mixed in with a hint of whiskey. You took in the musk he gave off and hugged back.
After waiting almost twenty four years for this moment. The day you would meet your soulmate. It being a Winchester has surprised you.
Whenever you would stop by the roadhouse to see Jo, she would tell you all about Dean, sometimes Sam too. After you learned that the Winchester's were with Jo and Ellen when they died last year was heartbreaking to you.
You had heard stories about how Sam was drinking demon blood and how Dean sold his soul. They were a very popular topic. When you were on a hunt in Nebraska, you realized that the boys had a BOOK SERIES based on their lives.
Of course you didn't read it, but it was awkward that people were buying and enjoying the lives of hunters.
When Dean finally let go of you, his eyes were a little watered down. His cheeks were red and his ears were a bit more. You were a crying mess.
The tallest Winchester had seemed to figure out what was going on. This was what happened with him and Jess. When two soulmates figured out each other, it was all love at first sight.
You looked up at Dean and smiled. "So...uh...hey sunshine?" You staggered, not really knowing what to say. He nodded and let out a chuckle.
"Hiya sweetheart." He sputtered. You both were extremely speechless with one another. You smiled at him and took a step back.
"After twenty four years...can't believe I found you." You said, wiping the tears from your cheeks. Dean looked over at his brother and smiled widely.
Sam nodded and smiled back. Knowing his brother, Sam decided to go check into the motel and get settled in, leaving the two of you alone . Dean turned to look back at you.
"So uh...how about a beer?" He asked, using his thumb to point back at the Impala. You nodded and the two of you made your way over. Dean pulled out a six-pack from the backseat and grabbed two bottles.
He hesitated first and turned to you, "you drink...right?" he questioned, making sure you were ok with it. You took the bottle from him and popped the lid off. "You should see me with margaritas sunshine." you smirked.
You took a sip and led the alcohol slide down into your system. Dean looked at you with what seemed to be stars in his eyes. He was amazed with how so much you acted like him. The muscle cars, the sass, the love of alcohol.
He opened his beer bottle & drank a little before setting it down, only to look at you. You looked at him and smiled. "So Mr. Winchester, how'd you and Sam catch the wind on this case?" you asked.
"A friend of ours sent it over. You know Garth, right?" Dean questioned, making eye contact with you once more. You giggled a little as you took another sip of beer. "Who doesn't know him? He's like an unavoidable teddy bear."
Dean looked at you and smiled. He hasn't felt this much happiness in a while. He felt...whole again. The man was actually stunned to see that you were just as carefree. Your eyes were like the ocean, because he was obviously drowning in them. Dean shook his head and went to speak once more.
"So, Y/N, how'd you get into hunting in the first place?" He asked you. A sudden frown appeared on your face and you looked at the ground. "My father was originally. Great one at that. He stopped after my mom had me. When I was about 2, a ghoul came in and...". You stopped speaking and little tears came from your eyes.
Dean figured out that it wasn't something you were on with taking about, and put his hand on your shoulder. "it's ok. maybe tell me later when your a bit more comfortable alright. I get it." he said. You looked up to him and wiped your tears.
"Alright. You deserve to know where I came from. How I grew up to be this somewhat decent hunter at least." You smiled. Dean smiled back and rest assured, damn he could smile.
Once you spoke, Sam came back with the keys to the room. Dean and you had looked up at him as Sam began to speak. "So get this, even the motel worker was shaken up about the diner. She said that almost everyone in town loved the spot." He said. You leaned against the Impala and took another sip.
"It's still pretty early isn't it? How about we go over and check out the crime scene, the three of us?" You said. Dean looked at you and was about to tell you to stay behind, but Sam jumped in before him. "Sure! That sounds like a good idea. Meet us out here in ten." He said, grabbing his brother & turning to their motel room.
The worker upfront must have seen the three of you talking, so they put their room only a door away from yours. You nodded and quickly rushed into your motel room, closing the door behind you.
Once your door was fully closed, you started to jump up and down in glee. The man who has been on your mind since that fateful day in 1991, was actually not a douche bag! Tears began rushing out of your eyes and down your cheeks as you smiled.
You then ran to your duffel bag, grabbed your black dress pants, your dress jacket, and a light blue button up shirt. You never were into pencil skirts or the dresses, they got in the way.
Grabbing your make up bag, you rushed into the bathroom and began getting ready.
