Chapter 20 It Can Hear

Stephen's Pov:

It's been a month since Anthony got pregnant and we were all a bit on edge since Hydra hadn't made a move in a while. Anthony on the hand was slowly becoming a freaking ray of sunshine and some times it's to early for that level of happiness. It was cute though and Anthony was always smiling which...I adored.

"Sammy!" Tony said grabbing Sams's hand and pushing his hand against Anthony's stomach. I frowned confused when Sam's eyes widened.

"What's wrong?" I asked worried about the bump.

"Get over here and feel this," Sam said and I walked over putting a hand on Anthony's stomach and I felt it...my eyes going wide at the movement.

"Oh...Oh...Thank you, child, for moving that is much better." Tony sighed in relief.

"How developed is a 1-month-old baby?" T'Challa asked.

"Well I was told makes it half the time so it should be about...3 months," I said.

"How developed is that?" Sam asked.

"By the end, it should have its heartbeat," I said.

"So it has a heartbeat?" Anthony asked excitedly.

"Most likely they develop at the beginning of the 3 month period," I said and we all watched his eyes brighten in wonder.

"Wait...did it move because Anthony was uncomfortable?" T'Challa asked.

"I doubt that," I said.

"Tony's a spirit walker...so maybe they are already connected," Sam said.

"Sam has a point...Tony isn't like most people that carry babies." T'Challa said and Bruce burst in.

"What's wrong?" He asked rushing over to Tony and feeling for his pulse...Well then...

"Uh..." I said.

"Jay said to check on you," Bruce said.

"He was having stomach pains," T'Challa said and Bruce sighed in relief.

"How bad?" Bruce asked.

"Uh...3," Tony said and Bruce nodded.

"He said he felt better after it moved," I said and Bruce nodded.

"That's cause it was possibly laying on a nerve or something," Bruce said and Steve sighed in relief.

"Steve!" Anthony perked up and his friend paused as did Jay. "Both of you come here," Anthony said and they walked over. He grabbed their hands and stuck it on his stomach.

"Do we rub it?" Jay asked and Anthony snorted.

"Smartass although I do feel like my stomachs a damn magic lamp with a genie in it," Anthony said and Steve's eyes brightened suddenly while Jay looked concerned.

"It's moving," Steve said looking excited.

"Pretty sure she's doing the cupid shuffle in there," Anthony said and I heard Steve chuckle.

"You said she," I said and Anthony looked surprised.

"Sir...I'm concerned that you may have a parasite in you," Jay said and Anthony laughed.

"It's a baby," Anthony said.

"Babies are not parasites, sir," Jay said.

"No Jay...I'm pregnant," Anthony said and he stared at me.

"Is that normal for this universe?" Jay asked and I laughed.

"No," Sam said.

"Sir please stop breaking biology," Jay said and Anthony laughed.
