A YEARS LATER
Wiping the sweat from my forehead, I push my trolley with my suitcases through the doors of the airport and out into the smouldering afternoon Perth summer heat. That's right folks, I'm back!
Not by choice though!
My grandparents decided they wanted to start travelling the world, so here I am back in the very town I escaped two years ago. "We're not getting any younger" they said.
To say I'm nervous to be back is an understatement. I feel the contents of my stomach is about to decorate the pavement. Even though I am no longer the same girl I was when I left, doesn't mean I'm not horrified to be back. I lost the extra pounds, thanks to the well equipped gym my grandparents had in their pool house. Replaced my thick black framed glasses with contacts, and threw away every piece of clothing I owned and got a whole new wardrobe. I didn't do it all on my own, I had my bestfriends TJ and Lauren to thank for most of it. I miss them already! Also I have to send a massive shout out to miss puberty, for gifting me in the chest department. If you know what I mean!
"My baby" a familiar voice cries out.
Excited, my eyes follow the direction of the voice. I spot my Mum frantically making her way towards me with my Dad in tow. When she finally reaches me, I throw my arms around her and we both stand their just holding each other.
"I missed you so much!" she mumbles into my shoulder.
"I missed you too Mama" I whisper back.
"Hi Daddy!" I smile, pulling my Dad into a hug after my Mum and I finally let each other go.
"Hello my baby girl, how was your flight?"
Dad pecks me on the forehead before we both separate.
"It was okay Daddy" I reply. Looking around the airport I try to spot my brother. "Where's Brandon?"
"He had to stay home and pack. He leaves for Uni tomorrow, and like usual he hasn't even started packing his stuff up." my Mum grunts, shaking her head in frustration.
I laugh, typical Brandon.
"Come on you two, you can chat in the car." My dad interrupts, grabbing my trolley and pushing it for me.
Reaching my parents white SUV, I get to work helping my Dad put my suitcases in the back. From the corner of my eye I can see my mother eyeing me up, with a proud smile on her face.
"What you looking at Mama?"
"You look different Honey!" she says. "You have definitely filled out well, don't even get me started on those boobs!"
"Mum" I shriek.
"Oh lord!" My Dad grunts in horror. "Should probably invest in a shotgun!" he whispers mostly to himself.
"Get in the car Tilly!" Mum laughs, opening the car door for me.

Half an hour later we pull up in front of the house that I grew up in.
Home sweet home!
'If only' I mutter to myself at the thought. Once out of the car, I take in my surroundings. Noticing how everything still looks just how it did when I left. Nerves start to settle in the pit of my stomach, when a all to familiar face invades my thoughts once again. As much as I've tried to avoid thinking about him, it makes it a lot harder when your back at the house that holds a lot of memories and just so happens to be right next door to the devil himself.
