Song: Man or a monster by Sam Tinnesz, Zayde Wolf

2nd June, 2017
Alpha Gabriel's territory

"Let me out of here!" I yell while banging the wooden door

"Please! Is anyone out there?" I try again.

This is pointless. I have been trying to get out of here for days now. The desperation of my current situation crawls under my skin like a million tiny ants.

"Please!" my voice cracks in defeat. I place my back on the door and slowly slide down to the ground.

Tears leak from my tired eyes showing my defeat to the world. My heart throbs while my soul yearns to be back home. I tried to be understanding towards this new species but now simmering hate is growing in the pit of my stomach. This man declares me his soulmate then locks me away like an unwanted prisoner. My throat is sore from all the screaming I've been doing. Yet no one answers my calls.

My sobs soon fill the room. I can't do this anymore. I feel trapped. Isolated.

I last saw Gabriel eight days ago. No one else has come in here. Well, non that I have met. They wait for the moment I fall asleep then leave food by the door. I tried staying awake until they came in but they just wouldn't come in. No, they knew I couldn't stay awake for long.

I rise from the floor once my tears dry up and walk over to the balconies glass door. I reach for the golden handle and feel the lock giggle. No matter how many times I tell myself that this damn door is lock, I still find myself trying to open it countless times a day.

I searched every inch of this exotic room, hoping to find something that can get me out of here. But there is nothing. The room is plain in furniture yet full of colour. The bathroom has beautiful designs on the walls with a brass bathtub, the floor has flower patterned tiles, a marble bowl filled with clean water that they seem to change when I'm asleep, and a golden toilet. As bizarre as it sounds, I believe the toilet is made from actual gold. I feel like I traveled back centuries to medieval times, except this place has its unique twist.

I pace around the room. I can't stay here anymore, I feel my sanity slowly slipping away. With each passing moment, the grip on reality I had run away from me like I wish I could do this place.

I tug at my hair while I try to plan a way to get out of here.

"Think! come on, what would Adam do?" I mumble. I look around the room, almost asking the universe for help.

"You are trapped by glass, break it. Come back to me"

I look to the balcony door and just like that, an idea comes to me. I race to the desk and grab the chair from behind it. I run to the wooden door that leads out into the Palace and hook it under the handle. I take a step back and nod.

This is going to work, it has to.

I quickly walk to my bed and rip the sheets into long pieces of fabric. After I ripped all of them I begin to tie them into a long line. I give the knots a firm tug before placing the pile of cloth next to the balcony door. Next, I go to the bathroom and look for the heaviest item in there.

The marble pot. I rush to it and lift it, the weight causes me to stumble back a few steps before I regain my balance. I breathe in deep before slamming it into the tiled floor, A loud crashing sound following. I move quickly after this and wrap a piece of cloth around a sharp piece of tile. I take it and put it in my pants line.

I run back into the room and grab the pile of fabric before using it to cover my hand.

I punch the glass once, twice, it smashes.
