Behind Her Smile

"She is the kind of woman who doesn't depend on anyone. Its because she knows to depend on someone means to be left out once that someone decide to walk away from her life. Thats why she take good care of herself she doesn't need anyone to do that for her. She's capable of living on her own. She keeps working on herself. She knows what she deserve and she isn't settling for anything less. She knows her worth

But she's a overthinker. She was always worried, she overthink every situation in her head even those that have not happen yet. She keep thinking that she's behind. She keeps choosing to be blind to notice the overflowing blessings in her life. She keeps forgetting to let go."

"Do you love her?" She asked me and I answer her with a big smile in my life.

"I do and I am willing to spend the rest of my life with her. I want to make her happy"

"Okay. I wish you all the best harry" Keisha looks sad. I dont want to hurt her but this is the best thing to do.

"Im so sorry keisha. I hope you'll find someone who will love you more than his self." I hug her for one last time.

"Im so happy for you."

"Clarrise if I ask you to marry me today will you say yes?"

Natigilan ako sa aking ginagawa at tumingin sakanya. Walang bahid ng pagbibiro ang kanyang mukha, seryoso itong naka tingin saakin.

"What about keisha?"

Kahit gaano pa kasama at kamaldita si ramirez she still needs some clousure. But Im not going to give up harry not now and never.

"I already settle everything between us"

Nagkibit balikat na lamang ako at pinagpatuloy ang pag aayos ko ng gamit. Nasa bahay si harry ngayon, pinuntahan nya ako dito at sinamahang mag ayos ng gamit. Sinasama kasi nya ako sa family gathering nila sa canada. Ang layo hindi ba?

"Im asking you" pangungulit pa nito.

I look at him and smile. "Yes. I will" walang pag dadalawang isip na sagot ko.

Nagulat ako dahil bigla na lang nya akong hinatak patayo.

"Then lets get married"

"Hey! Are you serious?" Di maka paniwalang sambit ko.

Tipid na tumango ito at patuloy padin sa paghatak saakin pababa.

"Where are you going? Di paba kayo---" Di na natapos ni mommy ang sinasabi nya dahil biglang lumuhod si harry sa harapan nila mommy at daddy.

Gulat na gulat si mommy sa ginawa ni harry.

"Mr and Mrs. Monford as you already know I love your daughter so much. She is the most beautiful girl for me and I want to marry her and Im here to ask for your permission. Will you give us your blessings?"

Nagtitigan si mommy at daddy. Kahit ako ay nagulat dahil sa biglaang desisyon ni harry. Akala ko ay nagbibiro lang ito dahil wala pa kaming napag usapan tungkol sa kasal na sinasabi nya.

I can marry him anytime pero sana ay kinausap man lang nya ako para naka pag prepare ako.

"Harry" I help him to stand up.

"Dad--" Daddy cut me off. He tap harry's shoulder and sigh.

"If clarrise wants to marry you then okay. I will give my blessings to you"

"Thank you" tila ba parang nabunutan ng malaking tinik sa dibdib si harry napayakap pa ito kay daddy.

"Just promise me one thing harry. Dont make her cry anymore okay? She's been through a lot and I know you are aware how fragile her heart is."
