Episode 58: A marriage proposal

"Thank you, Poonam for your warm wish. I am planning to fly to Qatar but Ek problem hein (there is some problem) The office building of mine is involved in legal hassle. I really don't know... Poonam, how should I convey this to Ana? " Rohit sent the message to the ex-wife while having lunch with Ana in her favourite restaurant.  Her eyes looked sad and Rohit did not want to disappoint her anymore. 

" Maa has called me to the temple in the evening, Roh...  what should I wear?" Ana looked confused.

" You can wear whatever you like! Hmmm, wear the lavender suit." Rohit responded with a smile.

Rohit and Ana quickly finished their lunch. Ana wanted to take a nap so Rohit dropped her home and went to meet his friend Gurri.  The two friends were busy discussing Rohit's decision to shift for Ana.

Roh hesitated to share about the conflicts he was facing with his bestie. He wanted to talk to Poonam badly and he excused himself. Rohit opened her profile on friend book.

Poonam looked so beautiful in her profile picture.  She was a new bride at that time, very slim and fit. 

Rohit opened his email and typed a mail to Poonam.

Dear Pooh,

Poonam,  I am sorry and I know ...
I don't have any right on you anymore.

I ruined your life but I still care for you. I  want you  to move ahead in life.

I am not a  broker but my friend sent me a good proposal for you. Look at the below picture and biography. If you like let me know.

Dr. Nirmal Arora is single and he is in his early  50's. I think, 10 years gap is fine for you. I have seen his video and he was talking about the recent deadly pandemic COGEEE 18 so well.  I was quite impressed 😁 and though he has grey silver lines, he is a good match for you. Let me tell you one more thing, he is a millionaire and I am sure there won't be much struggle in your life, if you settle down with him.

Nirmal  is a successful surgeon but he will be selling his property in UK and will be soon landing to India.

He wants to spend some time with his 89 year old dad.

He is an Orthopaedic...  Tumhari hadiya bhi khud fix kardega. ( He will fix your fractured bones😜)

You might feel I sound, stupid. I am your ex-husband trying to fix your alliance but I don't find it right that you are hanging around that young guy... Abhi or chabbi (key) whatever you call him?

Poonam, I will wait for your call and see Nirmal is fit, fine,  rich. He has some cotton over his head (grey hair) but he is handsome. Trust me, I won't think something worst for you."

Rohit was typing but his laptop battery was draining and without typing regards in the  message,  he quickly sent the message. He was feeling a little disappointed thinking deeply about Poonam and what he did with her.

He drove home and Ana  was waiting for him . She was looking extremely beautiful in her lavender suit. Rohit kissed her hair and slowly said:

"I love you Ana..."
