I was busy ironing my uniform when Tay called for me.
"Yeah?" I asked. It's 8 A.M. and I have a class at 9. Ironing my uniform an hour before my class is not that big of a deal, the university is not that far from our apartment. And I like my clothes freshly ironed because they feel warm on my skin, especially that I am always cold even when it's summer.
I smiled to myself when I remembered that one time I was ironing my high school uniform and my-
"Hey! Gun!" Tay shouted. I came back to my senses and looked at Tay. "What the hell are you smiling at? Have you gone crazy?"
I rolled my eyes at him then proceed on wearing my uniform.
"What? What do you want?" I asked while I'm buttoning my shirt up.
Tay looked at his phone then back at me.
"Have you seen Off lately?"
Ahh, yes. Off. It's been 3 days since that day at the cinema and I've never seen him after or heard from him. It's not like I expect him to text me or something.
"No." I said as I went to the mirror to fix my hair. "Why are you asking me? Aren't you his best friend?"
"I know. But he doesn't reply to any of my texts and besides you're in the same building so I figured you might've seen him somewhere there." Tay looks like he's thinking about something.
Tay is an engineering student and his faculty is quite far from ours. Off and I are in the same faculty since I am a film student and he's in communication arts.
"Although, he doesn't really answer my texts even before, but it's been days now." Tay continued.
I am getting myself ready to go, it's 8:30 and I don't want to be late. I still need to buy milk for my breakfast.
"Why don't you just go to his house?" I asked. They've been friends for years now, he should know Off's whereabouts better than me.
"I don't really want to, his dog and I are not in good terms recently. That little bastard might kill me when it sees me." Tay said. "Also, shouldn't you be stalking him? I thought you like him?" Tay asked, confused.
"I don't even want to see his face." I replied. "Remember when we were supposed to watch a movie but you bailed on me? Off was there and we kinda watch it together, separately. Then we had a little thought sharing and I needed to go to the toilet and I asked him to wait for me but when I came back he's nowhere to be found." I catch my breath. I look at Tay but he's eyes are glued to his phone. What. An. Asshole.
"Oh, nevermind. He's with Neen."
"Did you even listen to what I just said? And who's Neen?" I asked.
Tay showed me his phone. And there's Off. Behind him is a very pretty girl. Who is she?

"The girl is Neen." Tay said.
I look at the photo posted on Off's Instagram but what caught my attention is the time on the upper right of the screen. It's 8:55!
"Ah, shit. I need to go. You kept stalling me, I will break your neck if I don't get to the univ on time." I ran out of the apartment as fast as I could. Guess I won't have my milk today.
