Season 3 Episode 3: Race to win

A certain blue hedgehog ran all around the village, through the forest especially the canyons and uphills.

"Nothing like a fancied run can make my day" Sonic said to himself running back to the village. When he came back, he saw some townspeople wearing athletic clothing with a small vest that indicates a specific number. Each person has a different number indicated on their vest. Each person had a different coloured vest and probably sweatbands.

While Sonic glanced at his surroundings he spotted a glimpse of the Mayor talking to some folks. He wondered what fuss is going on about.

"Umm... Hey mayor" Sonic tapped on the mayor's shoulder to get his attention.

The mayor turned around to see his blue hero and said "Hey there Sonic, are you participating too?"

Sonic raised his brow in confusion. What did the mayor mean by participating? Participating in what?

"Participating what?" He asked.

"Participating in our annual running event" the mayor proclaimed.

Sonic's eye widened. Hearing this makes him happy. After all, he is the fastest thing alive matter-of-factly.

"Really!? That sounds awesome" Sonic said excitingly.

He ran off to see other participants, maybe to show off his speed or brag about his winning streak in running. Hmm, what an ego manic.

Running through a crowd, Sonic spotted his friends in their athletic clothing too with vest with numbers indicated.

Knuckles was doing one hand push-ups, Sticks doing jumping jacks, Tails and Amy stretching their arms and legs. Sonic guessed that his teammates are in the event too. Obviously Knuckles and Tails aren't wearing pants as always, they dispies pants.

The blue blur approaches his team with his usual genuine grin on his face.

"Hey guys" he waved.

"Oh, hey Sonic" Amy was the first to spot Sonic's presence.

"I see you guys are in to this running event I heard about, just today" Sonic was a bit disappointed that he just heard about the race just today.

"Yeah, but to participate in this event, you have to sign up and receive a running vest" Amy explains while stretching her arms.

Without a second to think, the blue hedgehog ran immediately to the stand where people are getting sighed up. From there he then received the vest written no.7

After receiving the vest, he headed back to their friends.

An annoying laugh startled everyone in the village except the heroes.

"Muhahaha!" The familiar but annoying man on his flying vehicle with his two service robots above everyone.

"What are you doing here, Egghead?" Sonic crossed his arms, not amused by Eggman's presence.

"I'm here to run, of course" Eggman said.

Everybody in the village started to laugh historically. Eggman run!? That must be the most sickest joke they ever heard. He of all people would run, ha! That's really hilarious.

"I'm serious, I'll be the winner and you'll see who gets the last laugh" Eggman furiously pointed at every townspeople. "I have an ace of my sleeve

The gang rolled their eyes knowing they are not buying his statement but at the same time they are cautious about what's gonna happen in the race.

In a few hours or so, all participants are in positions, getting ready.

Soar the Eagle will be the announcer of this event. "Ladies and gentlemen, are you all ready for THIS RACE!!"
